Historic Centre

Turin's Historic Centre dazzles with exceptional Baroque architecture and ancient Roman ruins. The magnificent Royal Palace, soaring Mole Antonelliana with its Cinema Museum, and the world-class Egyptian Museum collection invite exploration. Wander through Piazza Castello's grand arcades or shop under Via Roma's elegant porticoes before discovering twin baroque churches in Piazza San Carlo. Getting around couldn't be easier with metro connections at Porta Nuova and Porta Susa stations plus frequent trams. Traditional trattorias serve delicious Piedmontese specialties while historic cafés offer the famous bicerin coffee drink. Elegant boutique hotels in converted palazzos provide the perfect base for exploring this walkable cultural treasure.

San Salvario

San Salvario buzzes with energy as Turin's hippest area, where historic buildings house trendy bars and cafes. Once working-class, this area now pulses with vibrant nightlife along Via Baretti and Via Saluzzo. Cultural explorers will love the unique interfaith triangle of historic synagogue, Protestant Waldensian church, and Catholic church all within walking distance. Getting around couldn't be easier with 3 metro stations serving the area. Travellers can fuel up at local coffeehouses before exploring or dive into the legendary aperitivo scene where bars spill onto cobblestone streets. Accommodations range from boutique B&Bs to apartments in converted townhouses, perfect for experiencing this walkable slice of Turin.

Vanchiglia

Vanchiglia combines Turin's authentic charm with trendy artistic energy along the scenic Po River. The iconic Mole Antonelliana towers over cobblestone streets lined with independent galleries, boutiques, and buzzing cafés where young creatives gather. Area piazzas and traditional trattorias maintain the district's Italian character while cultural gems like the National Cinema Museum draw curious visitors. Getting around is easy with frequent bus and tram service throughout the area. Evening aperitivo culture thrives at local wine bars, while riverside paths offer peaceful strolls away from the bustle. Accommodation options range from boutique B&Bs in historic buildings to modern apartments, all perfect for experiencing this bohemian neighborhood's relaxed rhythm.

Crocetta

Crocetta delivers Turin's most elegant side with tree-lined boulevards and gorgeous Art Nouveau buildings at every turn. This prestigious area invites you to stroll past historic palaces and peek into upscale boutiques. When you need a culture fix, GAM (Gallery of Modern Art) awaits with impressive collections. The Polytechnic University campus adds youthful energy to these sophisticated streets. Refined trattorias serve exceptional Piemontese cuisine and Barolo wines throughout the area. Elegant boutique hotels in converted historic buildings offer stylish accommodations with designer touches. Getting around is simple with two metro stations (Re Umberto and Vinzaglio) connecting you to Turin's highlights.

Roman Quarter

Roman Quarter offers a journey through Turin's 2,000-year history where ancient ruins meet baroque grandeur. Wander cobblestone streets past the imposing Porta Palatina gates and discover archaeological treasures of Augusta Taurinorum. The Museum of Antiquities and Royal Palace complex showcase Italian heritage through precious artifacts and ornate halls. Via Garibaldi invites leisurely exploration with its shops and cafés. Traditional Piedmontese trattorias serve local specialties while historic cafés perfect the art of aperitivo. Most attractions are within walking distance of each other in this pedestrian-friendly district. Boutique hotels in converted palazzos provide stylish accommodation options for travellers seeking to immerse themselves in Turin's rich past.

"Opera 35 was a comfortable place in a good location. The hotel staff were polite friendly and helpful. The decor was wonderful with an unexpected courtyard with lounges table and chairs to relax in. The room was spacious and spotless. With amenities such as a well equipped kitchenette fresh water everyday. We had the breakfast twice in our four day visit. Food was plentiful and varied with hot and cold foods. Coffee was good. We appreciated that the bar provided a light fare outside of Italian restaurant hours. The location was close to the river and a short 25 minute walk to the centre and most attractions. We would stay again,"
