The hotel has a fun and funky aura. A former department store of which the ground floor still houses clothes that can be purchased. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bedroom was compact but functional.

Hotel reserved hoponhopoff sightseeing bus. Asked for the credit card to make reservation, after little while was told the credit card did not work. So gave him other credit card, and was told it went through. After coming back, when credit card statement was received, the charge was made on both card. I believe it is hotel.com responsibility to correct this situation with hotel operator for the refund as they are the one run the credit card to make reservation. .

Nice place, a little creepy at night with the mannequins everywhere, but overall a nice stay. Great service at the reception, helping to plan out site seeing and tours.

Room, staff were great, the management poor to mediocre. I requested an extension and paid for it. 3 days prior to start of extension I had to cancel and they first refused to refund any money then said they would only give me half back.

I had a wonderful stay at Fashion City Hotel! The location is excellent—perfect for getting around with just a short walk to public transport, shops, and restaurants. It’s super convenient for exploring the area.
What stood out the most was how impeccably clean the hotel is —the cleanliness is second to none, and it made my stay very comfortable.
The breakfast was so generous with plenty of options to choose from. There’s something for everyone.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, thanks to the fantastic team who were welcoming and professional throughout my stay.

A refreshing surprise
The hotel is a little difficult to find (Not clear in Google maps). The rooms are / is neat & tidy, big enough for a solo traveler. Nice location: close to shops, transportation & restaurants & everything else you may need. Out side is busy all day, but you can’t hear the noise in the hotel which is a bonus. What added to my experience & the reason I gave my score: was my encounter with the young fellow named “Daniel” at reception. He was helpful, approachable, kindly spoken & well informed about his service. He (Daniel) always greeted & farewell with the smile & always asked how was your day upon returning back to the hotel after being out all day. I’ve worked in customer service, hospitality & Aviation for more than 35 years & one thing that always gets my attention whenever I travel abroad is excellent customer service.

The hotel clearly means well, but several odd design choices got in the way of a comfortable stay. The concept itself is interesting, but in reality the room view onto a dark, abandoned department store was more unsettling than appealing, especially at night.
The room also didn’t feel like it was originally designed as a hotel room: it had a typical department-store ceiling and even a thick pillar placed right in the middle, which made the atmosphere rather oppressive.
The bathroom design was wierd too: the glass wall was frosted at the top and bottom, but completely transparent exactly at the height where you’d prefer privacy. Who thought that was a good idea? On top of that, the shower door leaked badly; while a bath mat was provided, once placed it blocked the door from opening.
Noise was another issue, the hotel is very poorly soundproofed.
On the positive side: the staff were friendly and the breakfast selection was good.

Hotel bem localizado na cidade de Budapeste, estando literalmente em cima de uma estação de metrô que te leva a qualquer canto. Staff muito educado e prestativo. Café da manhã com variedade e produtos de qualidade, mas servido em um restaurante muito pequeno, podendo gerar movimento intenso nos horários de pico. Mas nada que atrapalhe quem se programa para tomar o café da manhã mais cedo. O único ponto negativo da estadia foi que nos foi cobrada uma taxa, que já tinha sido paga para o Expedia. Como nosso comprovante de reserva estava em língua não compreendida pelo atendente da recepção, não conseguimos comprovar o pagamento prévio e tivemos que desembolsar duas vezes pelo mesmo tributo.

No hemos podido viajar por el fallecimiento el mismo día de un hermano y el Hotel, conocido el hecho luctuoso, con una tarifa no cancelable, ha entendido el problema y nos ha dado facilidades para mantener la reserva.
MUCHAS GRACIAS POR ESA FORMA TAN HUMANA DE PROCEDER y nos han ganado como clientes agradecidos por tal respuesta.
Lo digo porque hubo otros hoteles que por el mismo hecho y con varios días de estancia nos negaron cualquier solución.

Felt a bit strange because of the clothes store in the building but absolutely spotless, staff are nice and breakfast was good value. Loved the location but the train station so easy to leave bags but also all the other local transport that connects to it.

A szobák kényelme rendben van. Az egyetlen dolog ami nem praktikus az a zuhany. A víz elvezetése nem túl jó. Könnyen el lehet árasztani a szobát vízzel .
