Onsen outside on the river was fantastic and perfect after a day walking. Breakfast was limited and dining options with walking distance very limited. Room was large and traditional Japanese style was extremely comfortable to sleep.

A lovely one night Onsen experience
The village is a bit dated and this hotel was the best option we felt on paper. While a bit old fashioned it was lovely, clean, provided wonderful service and the outdoor Onsen was mixed so my husband and I could experience it together. We sat in the hot spring at 10pm by the river. It was lovely. The staff helped us understand the etiquette and answered any question we had. They were so kind. We didn’t eat at the hotel but drove 5’minutes to a superb ramen restaurant. Breakfast though was really good and catered for European and Japanese with an extensive buffet. We. Hose a Japanese room for the experience which was comfier than I had imagined.

温泉地の昔ながらの観光旅館。クルマで来て、駐車場の誘導係からしてもう対応が完璧。カバンをクルマからフロントまで運んでもらったり、さらにチェックイン後には部屋まで持っていってもらえたりなんて最近は高級ホテルでもあまり経験のない素晴らしい対応。
部屋は露天風呂つきを選択。自分専用なので温度は好きに変えられるし、時間も気にしなくて良いので最高でした。ただ上階の足音が夜まで気になったので、下駄箱のところに内履き用のスリッパを置いておいてほしかった。スリッパ履かせるだけで大分違うので。エアコンは最近の猛暑でもよく効き、WiFiも速い。電灯はリモコンでも消える。令和の客室に求められる設備は完璧に備えられている。
食事は夕食も朝食もバイキング形式。値段相応ではある。地元ならではの鮎焼きとか 渋めのものほど品質が良いので目利きが必要。いかにも冷凍っぽいものは子供が食べれば良いです。
総じて、ガッカリさせない素晴らしいお宿でした。カップルとか親子とか、ハズレを引けない旅にオススメ。

大浴場の入り口のカビ臭さと女性の大浴場の扉が壊れている。温泉成分のためか、カランの黒ずみがひどいこと。
でも、温泉は気持ちいいし、川が目の前で自然に囲まれて静かでとてもいいところ。
スタッフの方も、少ない人数でも笑顔で対応してくださり、とても好感が持てます。気になるところを少し手を入れたら、気楽でとてもいいお宿だと思います。
