Stayed at The Grand for 4 nights in early September 2018.
Staff: From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a happy, smiling, helpful face. We arrived at about midday and were not expecting to check in, merely to find out about the street parking. The receptionist made a call and our room was ready, so she checked us in, BRILLIANT !! She also provided invaluable info about the street parking and gave us a voucher to display. We parked outside the front of the hotel, another great result.
Our room was on the first floor and overlooked the beach. We were very happy with the room. It was a decent size, had a good en-suite and was very clean. The air conditioning was remotely controlled and efficient.
The pool area was clean and very tidy, with plenty of sun beds (for the time of year).
The hotel is well placed for the town area of Forte dei Marmi, walked within 5 minutes.
Breakfast could be improved. The breakfast bar is too small with many guests trying to access the food at the same time. The dining area needs redesigning as there is a lot of wasted space that could be better utilised.
The other annoying problem was the noise from the room above. Every time a chair was moved (dragged) the noise from above was very annoying. The furniture needs pads on its feet.
Overall we had a fabulous experience at The Grand and would happily book to stay there again.
