Hotel is in the most perfect location and the rooms and decor are beautiful and so well thought out. Would definitely restart again! The full English was one of the best we have had and the staff were all so kind and welcoming
The hotel is in a good spot, our room had a brilliant view of Folkestone harbour. But the lovely interior decor of the room does not make for a good hotel experience on it's own. There was no TV or hairdryer in the room and I would consider both these very basic. There was a nice printed leaflet however saying that if you wanted the use of a TV, just ask. So as we were going out to dinner we asked the man we had been told was the Manager if we could have a TV put in our room. He said he didn't know how to do that or who he could even talk to about it. It was like we'd asked for something bizarre, even though the request is suggested in their own literature.
Also in the leaflet it says there are art supplies in the room to "paint your very own seascape". There are no art supplies of any kind in the room. Surely don't write the leaflet until you know what you can offer?
When you add the fact that we arrived after 3pm but had to wait until 3.50pm to be allowed into the room because the "Manager" was in a meeting , I'm afraid the hotel came across as quite shambolic and amateurish.
Had a really nice 2 night stay. Loved it all. Our room was on the 3rd floor Great views but with no lift quite a hike !
Room decor is so nice. Lots of reclaimed items being used
Will def stay again but on a lower floor !
The room we stayed in was lovely; clean and perfect, but; because there was no-one else staying.

To get breakfast or to check out was done without a member of staff
