Nous avions réservé une chambre avec deux lits jumeaux. À notre arrivée, nous n’avions qu’une seule serviette de bain et aucune couette suffisamment chaude pour dormir, seulement une sorte de couverture fine faisant office de drap. De plus, nous avons tenté de trouver l’hôte afin de lui signaler cette situation, mais sans succès.

The Vila is a good start for a budget rental. Individual small apartments are clean and beds are comfortable. Outdoor kitchen is deplorable with one working burner for cooking. No oven or microwave. Walk to the beach area is 20 minutes.

When we booked the room, there were long instructions thay said "There is no front desk at this property. Prior to arrival, guests must complete online registration with the property via a secure link. Guests will be asked to provide the property with a copy of their government-issued photo ID before arrival. Guests will receive an email within 48 hours before arrival with check-in instructions." However, we never received an email, so it was very difficult to find the exact location. We called the number provided, and the man who answered was very helpful. Also, it turned out that no such pre-registration was required. Once we got there, the staff was friendly and the accommodations simple but nice, just what we needed. There was a communal kitchen, but we had our own bathroom and mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Also, we were able to securly park our car right there. Awesome!

Vila Cano is a budget hotel fifteen-minute walk from the beach and supermarkets. It is an old residential building converted into a hotel. The worst aspect for me was that the bathroom is not private but shared by other guests, which made my stay rather inconvenient. Also, there is no shower curtain nor shampoo provided. There is A/C and fridge in the room, which is nice. My room was on 3rd floor with no elevator. There is a kitchen on ground floor that I did not use. The area reflects rural Albanian living with narrow streets. If you are really tight on budget, and do not mind walking 15 minutes to beach, it may suit you well.

Wi-Fi not 100mbps as stated-not designed for 3 floors of users behind many doors & walls even with a small device called a Repeater in the wall. We tried to solve the problem & a technician came but it never got corrected. I got 5MBPS on phone & laptop & I work on line. When it was a busy time I couldn't even open email or a video some days. I believe the router needed replacing & he just didn't correct it for 18 days & it's one of the main reasons I moved there & wasn't able to move anywhere else after. Johnny the owner is very nice & accommodating but it's not managed well by his mother & the very rude housekeeper. The outside kitchen was extremely dirty, EVERYTHING, the pans are ancient, there is often no lighter for the stove because they won't keep a large one there & only cigarette lighters which people steal. Guests don't even wash their dishes & pans but staff don't check it daily & fill the soap & empty the trash. Sink full of crap for 4 days but no one attended to it. Cutting board, sponge, refrigerator are repulsive! Same with piles of trash overflowing by the entrance constantly because it's not emptied enough. Group bathrooms not clean for 4 days until I called repeatedly, with tiny cans of trash full of toilet paper & no soap. All the rooms & buildings are different & mine was comfortable & fairly clean & I maintained it myself. It could be such a nicer environment with a 9 star rating if more care was put into it, especially the shared kitchen & bathrooms.

As soon as I check in to the room there was a strong smell of dirt and grease. The owner, who took me there, said he had to check in there were any rooms clean (at 3 pm and that this one was). Later I had to ask for the floor to be cleaned as there were many stains on the floor nezt to the bed. The door, in very bad state and half painted, had a lock that if you pulled the handle would come off. The owner then tough me that I had to slam the door without pulling and lock, so that 1 cm would remain around the door. The blankets were full of stains (the second one I asked was pink coloured with green stains). The first night I slept with the scent of freshly washed floor and of the shower I didn't realize it but on the second I felt the smell of blanket and pillow that had one of the strongest and most horrible smells I have ever felt: Probably not even a homless would have want such blanket. The second and third night a loud, constant noise coming from an electrical device could be heard so I couldn't sleep at all none of the night. The TV was unplugged and all plugs were too far away. Of the three showers I had, the first time there was no hot water at all, the second time it ran out after 5 minutes and the third still I couldn't finish the shower with hot water. I was given half small roll of toilet paper for 3 days so of course I had to ask for more. Really "boutique"!! The owners, though, were quite friendly and a highlight was the checken outside the front door. Still,
