We enjoyed this hotel during a brief getaway during the summer to escape the Tokyo heat. The hotel is located in a very nice location in old Karuizawa (Kyo-Karuizawa), close to many nice restaurants and little shops, while also being very quite. Rooms are very large and modern, the hotel has its own hot spring (onsen), and high speed internet is free. Very friendly staff and a large and tasty breakfast buffer. We definitely plan to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect, with Old Karuizawa Ginza Street right outside the hotel, making it super convenient to explore. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we loved the organic-smelling toiletries. Staff were always polite and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast selection was a bit limited, but everything was fresh and well prepared — especially the soups, which we enjoyed every morning. Only small downside was the pillows, which were too flat for us. Otherwise, a great stay overall!

Absolutely stunning hotel and the service was top notch. We came here to get away from Tokyo this is our first visit to this area and this hotel was amazing! We were greeted immediately and checked in, the staff also speak English and were very nice to us. They have a ton of items you can rent from board games to flat irons. The rooms are huge, the showers are amazing. We didn’t get to try the onsen this time but we will definitely be back. This hotel is right on a shopping street where you can shop for various items food and it’s even close to a lit Karuizawa sign area you can take photos this time of year. If you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo stay here. We did Hakone 3 times before we found this area and 100% would stay here over Hakone.

The hotel is conveniently located at the end of the main shopping street in Karuizawa, and it’s relatively new, the room size is huge in comparison to most of the older hotels in the city. The in-house restaurant is also a great place for Italian food in town. However, you will be greatly disappointed if you are looking to gain experience with its amenities. There is basically no amenities other than a public bath. The price tag is extremely high considering there is almost no amenities to offer except for a room to stay, and they even mandatory charge ¥10,000 for a kid between 3 to 12 per night. Moreover, they also charge ¥1500 for child below 3 years old for breakfast. For the same price, one can get much better choice such as Nikko Ritz Carlton or Nikko Fufu. There are a few good things about the hotel, for example, more than half of the staff can speak fluent English, some of them can even speak perfect English or Mandarin. Secondly, most of the staff is friendly and willing to help. Thirdly, dinner was exceptional!
