We arrived at 5pm on the 23rd December. Family time over Christmas. There was a bell at the door which no one answered. On the backside we found an entrance but everyone we met was busy saying “I just work here but I have nothing to do with the hotel”. After a while a guy appeared who could help us but he couldn’t find our reservation and when he finally did, it was for 2 persons and not for the 4 we booked which meant he had to prepare the room. When we got in, it wasn’t clean, dog hair everywhere! The wifi didn’t work and it was noisy from a party taking place at the “hotel”. We had ordered breakfast for one of the days which they forgot and throughout our stay, no one seemed to know about us. When we checked out they were still confused about us being 4 persons though we could show the paid receipt. An absolute nightmare experience and then during Christmas. Don’t go, save yourself the experience and find somewhere else.

Kurzurlaub in Zwickau
Das Zimmer ist einfach, Zimmerreinigung erfolgte zwischendurch nicht. Matrazen waren durchgelegen und die Bettwäsche machte den Eindruck, dass diese vom Vorgänger noch bezogen war. Außerdem sehr verknittert, nicht frisch. Das Personal war freundlich. Das Frühstück musste man im gegenüberliegenden Haus einnehmen, es war sehr minimalistisch. Zu Beginn der Frühstückszeit war vieles noch nicht gerichtet. Die Parkplatzsituation war auch nicht optimal, obwohl Parkplätze versprochen waren.

Es ist ein einfaches Gasthaus welches sehr schön wieder hergerichtet wurde. Für eine Übernachtung völlig ausreichend. Es gibt aber keinen wirklichen Eingangs- bzw. Empfangsbereich sodass man erstmal nach einem Mitarbeiter schauen muss. Insgesamt aber alles nicht so schlimm. Da der Gasthof erst ganz neu wieder eröffnet wurde kann man von ausgehen, dass sich alles erst noch einspielen muss.
Es gab ein ordentliches Angebot an gutbürgerlichem Abendessen und eine Cocktailbar. Sehr zu empfehlen. Auch ohne Übernachtung.
Das Frühstück gibt es im benachbarten Hotel. Ist jetzt nicht wirklich das praktischste aber in Ordnung.
