Clean property, easy check in/check out and easy to get to the town centre from. Really great having an indoor pool for winter - am sure the outdoor pool is nice in summer too, Although the rooms are dated they are very clean and in good condition with good facilities. Suited our family of 3 for a long weekend.

Super friendly staff, everything cleaned and replaced daily. Loved the heated pool and the fact that every room had its own heat pump (considering the temperature outside). Would love to stay again :)

Love the room, very retro. Spotless, sparkling, had everything we needed. Hot water takes a while to get hot, but the heated indoor pool is an absolute asset. We had a room at the rear, so quiet away from the road. We will be back

Although a little dated the unit would be the cleanest I have seen. Had a full size fridge freezer and stove which you don't see often. The unit met all our needs.

Hidden gem
Awesome gem. Best part was the heated indoor pool. Definitely will stay again. Well done to the team. Last place i stayed was in palmerston North motel which was worst hotel, manager and owner . It made headline on stuff as a stay away like the plague.
So thankyou to a motel owner who respects their guests.

Too many problems
The room itself was ok but there were multiple issues.
We booked one studio room due to it being a little bigger than the studio suite. I have a feeling all of these rooms are located at the rear of the complex which caused major problems.
As the room was so far away from the motel's hot water system you needed to run the hot water for 3-4 minutes before any came through. On one morning the hot water ran out half way through my shower and on another morning we simply did not get any.
The other problem was the wifi was very poor. It worked whilst you were in the lounge room but as soon as you went into the kitchen it disappeared. This was particularly annoying whilst having breakfast.
I don't know why so many motels insist on providing paper thin toilet paper. You need to use at least double the amount to do the same job. In addition to that, the toilet paper here had zero softness to it meaning it felt like sand paper after a few days.
There was also a complete lack of power point outlets. There was one in the lounge room which was used for my laptop and then two in the kitchen which we had to change regularly between the kettle, toaster, microwave and two phone chargers.
I would not recommend this motel.
