The rooms are quite dated and old, however, the room was spotless and quite clean. Nice comfy big bed. If the hotel had a significant refresh, it would be a very nice place and it is in a great location - right next to train & quick walk into town for the Brindley theatre!

Great stay in the Runmere! Room was perfectly adequate, it could do with a lick of paint but that didn't bother us at all for the price. It was clean, comfortable and had a good powerful shower. Staff are great, cheerful and helpful. Food was typical pub grub (pizza, fish & chips, burgers etc) and was very tasty and well priced. Drinks prices were great and some good 2 for 1 offers. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a cheap short stay.

We had two rooms, one was very good whilst the other was in need of some refurbishment in the bathroom, but we understood this was in progress. Staff were fantastic all very nice and helpful. Bed was a bit hard there was line going down the tv and the toilet has a very weak flush but for the price I guess semi decent overall. It would be ok for a night or two max. Also there was a draft that went all the way to the bathroom even if you closed all the doors so the shower curtain kept blowing into you while you shower
