Situated in Murat, the heart of the pedestrian high end shopping district, this chic urban modern boutique hotel is a fantastic choice. Within walking distance of the old city and terrific restaurants, it also has a great rooftop bar and restaurant with views of Palazzo Mincuzzi. The rooms are large modern and filled with minimalist Italian chic design and amenities.

This hotel is in an excellent location if you want to walk to restaurants, shops, and to see downtown Bari. Our room was luxurious with all the comfortable amenities. The aromatherapy shower was a unique feature. It’s a small boutique hotel with a tiny lobby featuring a bar right inside the lobby right off the main downtown plaza. The reception desk is no bigger than a hostess stand in a restaurant. The staff were very responsive and helpful. They assisted us with all necessary transportation arrangements and allowed us early check in. However, it’s a very busy area and the only complaint we had during our stay was the fact that the noise from the lobby and the elevator travels right up the center of the narrow hotel so it was noisy in our third floor room until about 11 PM. Unfortunately, we had a 4 AM pick up to go to the airport so we were not able to get to sleep as early as we wanted. Otherwise this is a very nice, convenient, clean, beautiful place to stay with good service.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und waren rundum begeistert. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen (direkt in der Fußgängerzone), das Zimmer war riesig, modern ausgestattet und das große Badezimmer mit türkischem Bad war ein echtes Highlight. Alles war sehr sauber und technisch auf dem neuesten Stand. Die Dachterrasse mit Frühstück am Morgen und Bar am Abend ist einfach traumhaft. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das unglaublich freundliche Personal – zu meinem Geburtstag wurde ich sogar mit einer liebevollen Aufmerksamkeit auf dem Zimmer überrascht. Ich kann dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und komme gerne wieder!

The location is great except at night around 1pm (every night) an alarm went off from a nearby business about 5 different times. Not good for sleeping! When mentioned to the staff, was told that they could not do anything about it. This did not feel customer oriented. At a minimum, staff could have said they will look into it with the business across from them. The hotel is relatively new - they said they had been opened for less than a year. So there were still a few things being worked out it seemed. We had no hot water one morning and it took most of the day for that to be fixed. Also had to ask for an extra blanket several times. Elevator is small, as is typical in this type of European boutique hotel, but also very slow. On our day of departure, staff decided to clean the glass for the entire length of it - rendering it unavailable for use. It finally became available in late morning so we could get our luggage downstairs. Seems like this could be done at a different time rather than busy morning time.

Nice hotel in a nice location. The breakfast was pretty minimalist though and not well stocked. Most hotels of this caliber include it in the room rate and this one was just okay. The air conditioning in our room did not work and we had to open the window to cool off the room. It faces a busy street though with lots of noise late at night so not ideal. The bed was comfortable but we didn’t sleep well because of this.

A wonderful experience at Sparano Palace. From check-in we received exceptional service; the staff member was incredibly kind and kept in touch to give us tips and recommendations that made our days in Bari even better. You can really feel the care put into every detail to ensure an unforgettable stay. The room has exquisite décor and the atmosphere is magical and elegant. Thank you for a magical stay in a magical city. We would return without hesitation. A sure choice.
