A mixed review
When we arrived we were upset to find that the door to the hotel was locked and no one was there to answer the bell. We waited for an hour before finally getting a store clerk to call (we don't travel with a phone) and have the owner let us in. We were further frustrated when he then could not find the reservation we'd made through hotels.com. Though after the initial frustration, we were calmed as he went out of his way to be extra helpful for us. He gave us a bigger room than we paid for, thoroughly explained a city map for us and gave us advice on how to get around Chiloe. Also the staff waited to make us breakfast the next morning despite the fact that we slept past the times listed for it.
Otherwise the place is clean, comfortable, good wifi, good location close to all you need in Ancud and walkable to the bus station.
