Jul 9, 2026Great accommodation in a great location. The facilities were all excellent too.
Only minor point is the electricity charges are paid separately based on usage so will be in addition to the cost of the accomodation.

Jun 30, 2026The property was incredibly spacious, it felt a little dated at first but the bedrooms and bathrooms have been updated to an excellent standard. The kitchen/lounge area was very well maintained and equipped with everything needed. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the pool area, had an excellent steak in the brasserie and breakfast in the lounge before we left.

Jun 16, 2026We were amazed at the level of cleanliness in the lodge. All three bathrooms were spotless, and appeared to have been fairly recently upgraded. The beds were probably the comfiest we have ever slept on. The open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area was huge and although the furniture is perhaps a little dated, it was nevertheless very well looked after and in good condition. The kitchen units could perhaps do with being replaced in the next year or two but again have been well looked after, and were very clean; however the oven, microwave and hob have obviously been replaced fairly recently and again were spotless (which is so often not the case in a rental property). There were also 2 allocated parking spaces outside the lodge. Ballater village is a 20 minute walk away, and has a nice mix of cafes and a few shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and would not hesitate to return to Craigendarroch again.
