Hotel Basera
"Food is excellent, and staff are very very good"
Sterling Darjeeling
"Sterling Darjeeling is a great place to stay for a trip to the area. The location is much better than anything close to the mall. You can avoid all the traffic and noise of central Darjeeling. Views of the valley and surround mountains are great. The staff is very helpful. If you’re traveling from the airport, you will get to the property much faster (hours) than any place close to the mall because of all the traffic even though it’s only a few kilometers away. I would highly recommend Sterling Darjeeling."
Planter's Heritage by Cilantro Collections - Mall Road
"The staff were great. The location was perfect and close to main Darjeeling mall. The floors in the room and multiple junctions in the lobby area are uneven which may cause discomfort and extra attention especially for elderly people."
Udaan Dekeling Resort Darjeeling
"Was not aware that the hotel doesn't offer eggs or alcohol. They should have mentioned on their website, especially for international guests."
The Elgin, Darjeeling
"Building is amazing perched on the hillside and the staff were lovely."

Exploring the local university and engaging in activities like rock climbing and admiring the region's vibrant flowers can also enhance the experience, providing great value for money.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover great savings on hotels in Darjeeling, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window and Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. For added convenience, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see the best options for your needs. With these resources, you'll be well-equipped to secure a fantastic last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates might help you find a better deal on your stay in a Darjeeling hotel. If you're seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest more affordable dates that could help you find a great option.
- Consider your location: Staying closer to major attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it usually tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located a bit farther out, which can provide a more authentic and often more affordable experience.
