Staff were lovely, rooms were very quirky and colourful. Breakfast was ok. Would definitely recommend and will go back again if looking to stay in area.

Sep 18, 2026Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant excellent, breakfast OK. No Netflix in our room, which was advertised, but not that important. Only there one night but the village looked nice. Overall, would warmly recommend the hotel.

Sep 23, 2026Bit noisy at times as right on the road and parking was tricky. It was Monday curry night so no menu choice if dining in. Meal was nice but a bit hot for our palette. Breakfast was excellent staff helpful and overall very good stay.

Sep 13, 2026Gorgeous little pub and really friendly and helpful staff. Food in the evening was good. Only criticism I would have is the bread for the breakfast in the morning is really cheap bread. Avocado on toast was with sourdough but when it arrived it was cheap, thin bread and definitely not sourdough.
Room was really nice and love the sea themed decor.

Sep 7, 2026The Lion Inn is an old building so one must make allowances for this which we did. The whole layout of the Inn is somewhat querky with dark coloured decor punctuated with glass wall displays which I assume were the work of Andrew Login, a local sculpture. The rooms were equally decorated in bright colours, each having a unique theme. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. All in all, we spent a very comfortable night with a good cooked breakfast in the morning.

Aug 17, 2026Our room (room two which was a deluxe double) was spacious, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. The decor of the hotel is an acquired taste but it was fun for a change! Dinner was good although the quality of breakfast was very poor sadly.
