Clean room, loud neighborhood

The room was extremely tiny. The handle on the showerhead would not hold up, and the shower itself was so small I kept banging my elbows. The water temp and pressure was fantastic despite that. The neighborhood is dirty and extremely noisy. There are people around who are outside partying until 4am and then by 8am there are people up blasting music. There's no elevator which is fine but going down the spiral staircase made me dizzy. The sheets smelled funny and I'm not sure if it's because the comforter on top hadn't been washed in a few months or what but it was unnerving. Bed was very hard and the pillows were very flat. The man who checked us in was very nice. Overall the room was clean (the bathroom smelled like mold and had rust all over though.) We just needed a place to sleep, not hang out in, and it isn't the hotel's fault for being in a loud neighborhood but if you want somewhere quiet to stay this isn't it.

My body is full of bedbug bites

My body is covered in bedbug bites to which I'm currently having an allergic reaction. I have never seen bedbugs crawling on a bed before. I've had to ask for a reimbursement for my second night, as the bedbug biting was so bad, that I had to sleep on an armchair in the lobby of the hotel. Then, after spending the night in the lobby, I spoke to the manger of the hotel the next morning to talk about the reimbursement. The manager lost his temper and threw my laptop on the armchair from the reception desk. I have never seen such behavior from a hotel manager in my life, and I think that no one has had the nerve to throw my laptop in the air, ever, ever in my life so far. Luckily, it didn't fall on the floor, but was very close to. So as you can probably tell, my experience was horrible.

Well situated hotel :)

Close to train lines, wonderful welcoming staff, a one hour walk to town very easy. Cheap delicious food very close. Very close to the Bastillica Sacre Coeur (15min walk). Would definitely stay again. Was very affordable compared to other places in Paris.

Whomever left a 4 star review had to be associated with the hotel. The location is not in a great part of Montmartre, if you're a woman traveling by yourself, do not stay here. The ratio of men to women changes drastically at night. Also, the en suite bathroom was a quick construction add-on and smelled like old urine. Also it went the smell of the room alternated from smelling like garlic to onions to cigarette smoke to urine throughout our two day stay.

Never go there.

Even though the name of the hotel is "Hipotel Paris Montmartre", it's not on Montmartre, and no Montmartre view. My room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator). I haven't had a big suite case, but there was another problem. WiFi was not working in my room, only at reception desk (ground floor, 4 floors down). The hotel is located in a small side street, but there are some bars nearby, so local people were loudly speaking in the street up to 2-3 a.m. all Friday night and all Saturday night. On my last night I had to get up very early not to miss my plane, so I managed to kill a couple of cockroaches. Three pieces of dilapidated furniture and no mirror in the room (only small "shaving" one in the bathroom). Very inconvenient bed, not properly done. Dim lights.

One of the worst hotels

I do not recommend this hotel. I stayed there in the middle of winter and the window didn't close properly (I noticed sticky tape attempting to hold it closed). I froze all Night. Extra blankets were provided but I would Not use them as they looked unclean. The whole room was unlean. The power points did not work. Finally, I don't think this is a good/safe part of Paris and I would not recommend walking around there by yourself at night.

Terrible. A deconseiller.
