The good bits: The room was clean and spacious, as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were attentive and helpful. The location was great. The bad bits: although my room was clean, the bin had not been emptied. There was a coffee machine but no cups, and no drinking glasses. There was a wardrobe but no hangers. I asked and thankfully they had a delivery that day and I was provided 2 hangers. The room was not quiet, right in front of the door was the lift which was old and you could hear it creaking while in use. Unfortunately the door at the bottom of the stairs does not have a soft close, so every time someone left via the stairs, created a loud bang, and which echoed up the corridor. I was woken several times by this, a quick remedy to fix to make the whole experience more pleasant.

The first room that I got hadn't been cleaned, nor had the bed been made. I went back to the reception and they gave me a new room: a large room. Which was absolutely gorgeous; great view and spacious. With a bathtub! Unfortunately the bed didn't have a duvet, so I had to sleep under a sheet. Luckily it was warm enough in the room. But I found it a bit strange. Since I checked in late, the reception was closed and I couldn't ask for a duvet. On day two I had to request a duvet twice before getting it. By then I had also discovered that the only bin in the room hadn't been emptied before my stay... Rest of the room and bathroom were clean. No clothhangers, no toiletbrush; probably not yet in place because the hotel has only been open for a few months. I feel that you are right now in the 'probation time' of the hotel where you can expect things to be missing or go wrong. Think this hotel will make a great hotel in a few months when everything and everyone is in place. Great location. Comfortable bed. Bit noisy hallway with slamming doors and a shakey shabby elevator.
