I booked the wrong room as both myself and my daughter have mobility issues and didnt think to mention it on booking. We were up on the 3rd floor with no lift and had to leave a day early because of it. Very friendly staff and breakfast was great.

This B&B is beautifully situated a 5 minute drive from the train station. The room was clean and very well decorated. The towels were small and very rough. The beds were okay. There were loose floorboards in the bathroom that made it difficult to be quiet during the night, although the area and other guests were very quiet. It’s quite a climb to the third floor if you are a bit older! The breakfast was cooked well to order.

Beaches guest house is situated on the west cliff which is very convenient to get into town and also visit the beach. Once you are in town, in doesn’t take long to cross the bridge and visit the abbey. It’s on street parking only, but we have been coming for years and always manage to get a spot. Tamsin, the owner, is always there when you arrive with a friendly smile and a chat. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The breakfast is great, with plenty of choice. Also, very reasonably priced. Most importantly, the Beaches is dog friendly! Well behaved dogs are always welcome.

Room was comfortable but a little cramped for two people . Tea /coffee making was available but didn’t use , shower was very good with plenty of hot water.
