Cockroachs
When checking in there was a rather large cockroach in the middle of the lobby. After finishing that process the elevator was said to be broken and no assistance was able to be had with our bags. When entering the room it smelled terrible. The carpet seemed to be newer yet the smell was apparent because a car air freshener was in the air conditioner. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and hard along with the pillows. I had left a cup at the front desk and called for someone to bring up blankets and my cup if possible, there was no one to do either. Again, the elevator was broken as well.
My spouse and I had a very early flight and both woke up to take showers to prepare for our day, the shower knob was broken and the water was ice cold or scalding hot.
Upon our return from vacation we called the number provided to send the shuttle to pick us up. 20 minutes after calling and no shuttle I called back to find out the shuttle wasn’t dispatched and the information we were told of the meeting point was not even possible. After 45 minutes of waiting the shuttle arrived and the strong smell of marijuana filled the vehicle. The man did not offer to even get up and assist us with carrying our bags up into the shuttle.
The stay was not cheap for us, and I am a fan of most Holiday Inns. This was an atrocious stay and should be mended.
The hotel is within 5 minutes of a very busy airport and has the potential to be a thriving business. Yet at this rate I can assure you no one is stay
