Excellent location and quality of the hotel and staff. Each room is wonderfully unique in this property carved from a historic building. Breakfast is at a little cafe within the building complex, but is a menu of limited items instead of a buffet. The Amoy is sister hotel to the Clan immediately next door which has an infinity pool and gym, available for use by Amoy guests, and showers that can be used after checkout from the hotel, useful for late flights.

Rooms are small but beautifully designed with thoughtful touches and a very comfortable bed. Staff are exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. A perfect stay for anyone who wants a unique, authentic Singapore experience.

The hotel is in a great location and walking distance to a number of the major tourist destinations, and has an MRT station on the doorstep. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The building is historic and very interesting.
The only downside for us was the number of levels (a.k.a. steps) in the building as we are an older couple.
