If you going to stay here don't use Hotels.com to booked it. Me and my friends were there on May 2019 and we booked 4 rooms back in February 2019. My reservations was confirm with hotels.com. my booking was to pay at the hotel at check in. One of my friend also booked it using hotels.com and already paid for it back in February 2019. When we got there the this place they only have 1 RSVP for 1 room which was booked with booking.com they don't have the 3 RESERVATIONS booked with hotels.com BUT ON THEIR WALL THEY GOT A CERTIFICATE FROM HOTELS.COM WITH 4 STARS ON IT. We called hotels.com and they said they faxed and emailed our reservations to the hotel back in February and they can proof it. The manager was mad and at 1 point he told us to go somewhere. We were frustrated with no place to so the manager put the 3 of us with their sister hotels.

Nice place. Food was good. Both much better than what we had at an upscale beach resort in Seminyak! Beautiful location. Spacious rooms. I would stay again. Only issue I did have was that the villas were supposed to pick us up at the airport. This is something I reconfirmed just before we left. We waisted a lot of time waiting at the airport for a driver who was never going to arrive to arrive. I tried calling and emailed multiple times to get no answer. If something like this wver happens to you don’t be afraid to just go grab a deiver. There are a ton of them begging to give you a ride anywhere. Just settle the details first. With I would have done that right feom the beginning. Because I didn’t we didn’t reach the villa until around 9pm. After being in an airplane for 24 hours and expecting to be at the villa by 5-6 and not making it to 9 it was definitely a disappointment but they did at least try to make it right with us.

I stayed for 2 nights in Pajar Villa it is very calm and comfortable, hotel it's out of ubud center by approx 15 minutes by car, hotel providing free shuttle service to & from ubud center every hour from 9 am to 10 pm pool is amazing experience as surrounded by rice fields and value for money was great

Best staff
We came back to Pajar house for the second time after 3.5 years and it was great. As usual, the staff was the nicest that we’ve ever experienced in Bali. They are extremely nice, helpful and is the main reason for such a great experience in Pajar house. Hotel is in a nice queit area and there is a convenient shuttle bus service where you get sent to/picked up from Ubud centre. Hotel even provides a mobile phone to call them for any requests. Thank you Pajar house team for a great experience again! Some suggestions to make it even better: 1) Food price: it’s quite pricey for the amount/quality of food. Either reduce the price or increase the portion (for example burger comes with very few fries); 2) Room cleaniness: it would be great to have blanket cover as It clearly cannot be washed daily without one. Similarly, the mosquito net could be washed more frequently. It seemed that the one in our room wasn’t washed for a very long time as it had many stains. There were some other signs that rooms were not cleaned very well after previous guests. 3) Lizards: not sure if anything can be done with this one, but it would be great to ensure that there are no lizzards in the room. They can make quite some noise in the night (and well... poop everywhere). Tackling the above would make Pajar house comparable to best hotels in the area. Even with the above issues it is still great and reasonably priced stay. We will be returning again!

Villa in the rice paddies!
I was here last week for three nights while staying in Ubud. We had the best time! The staff was so so helpful. Since we had booked a villa, we had to take the motorbikes back to the villa as no cars pass. The first time I was super nervous, but they are the best drivers. We preordered breakfast delivered to the table on the porch outside of our rooms. We also were given a local phone to use so we could be picked up if we went into central Ubud which was ten minutes by car. I can't say enough how much I loved this place, I did not want to leave. We had a 3am pick up (excursion) on morning and because we'd be missing breakfast, they packed us a to go box of breakfast. The wifi in the villa was also very good. Each villa has its own wifi.

A Very Mixed Review
Most staff speak English well, very good check-in process where they sit you down and talk you through all the hotel services which was very personal and appreciated. They originally put us into a room which we felt was not a deluxe room as we had booked (looked totally different to the photos) so we made a complaint and they moved us to another room on the newer half of the property for the rest of the stay which was a deluxe room as shown online. The outdoor bathroom was very nice but when I tried to have a bath it only filled up about 15cm with warm water before it ran cold. Hot water not always reliable, water and power turned off completely once. Bed comfortable but potentially had bugs, blood spots as if we were squashing blood-filled bugs while we slept. Air con OK, TV works but in black and white, room service not the best (asked for certain items to be left off a couple times and meals still arrived with them on). The outdoor gardens are nice and well looked after, the pool is nice. The beautiful pool surrounded by rice fields in the main photo is not the main property site, that is only the villa site, but they will drive you there if you would like to go for a swim in that pool instead. Mobile phone to call them to pick you up from town was very handy. Fairly cheap tours run by hotel drivers. Some concerns about security as the windows did not lock and nothing was done to fix this even after we asked them. A nice hotel but they need to iron out some kinks

Pleasant hotel
Hotel is about 10 mins drive north of Ubud center. Staff is friendly and polite. Shuttle service is between certain hours and you can use whenever you would like. They give you a phone to use to call when ready to return. Breakfast is served in the morning on your patio which is a nice way to get up in the morning. We enjoyed our stay.

fantastic service, room, pool, etc.!
The staff at Pajar House are extremely polite, resourceful, and accommodating. They provide guests with a cell phone for free pick ups and drop offs in Ubud (anytime before 10pm) and offer various affordable tours. The pool was beautiful and refreshing (unlike most pools which are typically quite warm by mid-day) and the breakfast (served on your own private patio) was tasty. The only suggestion/comment I have: it would be fantastic if they had a water station where guests can refill water bottles (instead of using countless bottles daily, which is obviously very wasteful). Other than that, it's an exceptional place. :) I highly recommend it! Special thanks to our driver, Mel Gibson!

Favourite thing about Ubud!
Incredible place to stay. Family owned and operated, service was over the top amazing, booked for one night stayed for three. Every wish was taken care of, pools were awesome, setting was great (away from town, on-demand shuttle to take you back and forth), and the people were awesome. Stay here, you'll love it!

Nice staff and wonderful experience!
The room was amazing, the bathroom was unbelievable. This is a family business, we were welcomed with drinks. The staff here are incredibly nice and helpful. It was great getting in touch with natur staying there. Away from the noise of the busy streets of Ubud central. The best thing is the free shuttles that run all day and anytime you tell them you want to shuttle to Ubud central they will take you there and anytime back, just give them a call with the cellphone they lend you. I will definitely stay here again with friends and family. You have to also try the massages from the hotel, way better than the massage parkour in the city! Also the breakfast was amazing, you have a selection the day before and it's delivered at your door, such a treat!

very unique lodging, very helpful-friendly staff
We stayed five nights at the Pajar House with our 15 month-old son. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and felt that this style of lodging matched the experience we were looking for during our time in Ubud. While a few small factors caused us not to give 5 stars, we were generally pleased with the service, food, and transportation offered. ROOMS - in the main campus of the Pajar House, each room is in a small villa. When you enter the property, you will notice that the lodging is in what looks like a former temple. This gives the place a lot of charm, with the villas located inside the temple. Incense and small offerings are scattered throughout the property. There is a small, common pool available to all guests. The rooms/villas themselves are comfortable, but not the best. We stayed in room 1, where we had the use of an extra room attached to the bedroom. The bed is somewhat hard and squeaky in room 1, as other reviewers have commented. If you don't have an extra room in your villa, space might be an issue as the bedrooms are not overly spacious. Also, the rooms themselves could use a slight facelift. There was dirt in some of the corners, but overall, they were mostly clean. One of the doors had slight damage done to it (medium-sized hole) and the couches were old with a slight smell. We were slightly frustrated with the bathroom. While it was lovely to have a partially outdoor bathroom, in order to get hot water for a bath or shower you had to wait a minimum o

Nice stay!
Great little hotel with a traditional Balinese house style. Nice pool and amazing plants all around. Staff is very nice. Drivers are always ready to drop you off in Ubud Center and you get a small cellphone to call them when you want to come back (too difficult and long to walk). Room was nice and there was an awesome outdoor bathtub but there were some geckos coming in the room but I guess this is Bali!

Loved it so much!
It was a fantastic place. Very natural and peaceful. We stayed in double deluxe room which is a beautiful cottage with two bedrooms, a semi-open bath (traditional way) and a private garden with front porch where you can have breakfast while enjoying the nature. Hotel facilities were great and the staff were particularly amazing. They took really good care to maintain the place as well as to make the guests happy. Like many hotels in Ubud, it was a bit far from the town center and in the local neighbourhood. However, they provided is a free drop off and pick up service to the center of Ubud. There are roosters in the neighbourhood but didn't really bother my sleep. The hotel also provides you a cell phone to contact them when you are outside or if you need any service. Relaxing in-room spa services. Pool is not very big but good enough for a relaxing soak off. They also arrange for personalized tours at a very reasonable price and a personal driver who was also great. All of them speak decent english. The place is highly recommended for long stays. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night as we are on a short trip. But will surely revisit.

Small, quiet place with amazing staff.
This place was further from Ubud than I expected. But the shuttle service was brilliant. You just call when requiring pick up and they arrive in 10mins. The room I stayed in was nice and the bath was great. It is a small place perfect for those that wish to have somewhere quiet and intimate to stay. I slept great in the bed. The staff where very apologetic about the roosters in the morning however It really didn't bother me personally. I would hear the rosters early then go back to sleep. The staff is what make this place special. They where all so friendly and keen to make your stay comfortable.

Traditional beautiful guesthouse
From the moment I walked into Pajar House until I said goodbye every little aspect to my stay was absolutely perfect. Importantly...the staff remember your name. They help you whenever you ask, plus surprise you with a complimentary juice by the pool or in your room if you have been out for the day. Room: A beautiful bungalow with a tiled front porch featuring table and chairs, where you eat your breakfast. Entry into your room is through a beautiful carved traditional wooden door. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Air condition was good. Kimono and slippers provided. TV I didn't use, but has English channels. The outdoor bathroom is the WOW. It blew my mind. Gorgeous. Bath tub, free standing shower, outdoor garden, extremely clean. Extras: a shuttle service is provided into Ubud town, approx 3-5km away. You may use this service anytime of the day up to 10pm. The hotel provides you with a mobile phone to call once you are ready to be picked up. I used the service many times and never a problem. Tours: the hotel provides a selection of day tours. They are reasonably priced. The driver/guide will going into the featured sites with you and explain them to you. They really do look after you and all your needs. I attended one of the families Hindu ceremonies in the compounds temple. It was certainly an honour to be included.
