2/10 Poor

This hotel doesn't care anymore.

Got conned into paying $117 for parking, despite having stayed her before and paying $38 for overnight parking. Receptionist did not care and would not provide contact information for a manager. They also no longer have water in the room, nor did they give us the drinks vouchers thatI'm supposed to get from hotels.com. All in all this hotel has gone really downhill and they just don't seem to care.

Retro Vibes

A perfect date night escape for the night! The retro vibe and the two bar options are perfect! Go to a nice dinner in the City then perfect night cap and walk upstairs. The retro elevator was fun to experience! Would stay again!

Spooky little hotel

Was able to book this hotel at the last minute when delayed flights changed our plans. Very cool hotel with a slightly haunted vibe. Slept like a baby, very minimalist hotel and could hear all of the March “Madness” outside but the bed was very comfy. We were so tired we could ignore the painting of the creepy man next to the bed and by day two the exhaustion set in and we decided to take the spooky lift. It’s in walking distance of many restaurants and universities. I would definitely stay again.

Great staff, the rest needs some work

The staff were all very kind and helpful but we had a few too many issues. Maybe we were just unlucky? Some of the lights in our room didn’t work, the wifi kicked me off 3-4 times during an important work call (Zoom) and it was quite a disaster. I had one more call to take and staff kindly offered to let me take it from the main lobby/lounge area. Unfortunately, wifi didn’t work properly from there either so that was another flop. Then the card reader to our room stopped working so we couldn’t enter or leave our room without assistance - this was resolved before our last night. And the elevator had two metal grates - one of which moves smoothly and the other quite tough. My partner got his hair caught in one of them while other people were entering the tight space, and I ended up getting a cut/bleeding from it as we were checking out. Management offered a 50% discount due to the challenges we faced which I look forward to receiving. Again staff were amazing but it was an unfortunate stay.

Great stay!

Overall such a wonderful, clean hotel and it was in walking distance of so many highlights of Providence. I hardly Ubered. Housekeeping was fantastic and did a great job cleaning my room each day. The only downside was the shower setup. It’s a rainfall shower and only about 4x4 feet so there’s literally nowhere to stand out of the water. Other than that, I lived my stay!

Older Gem Downtown

Charming, well-appointed older hotel ideally located downtown. Our king room was roomy and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay here but guests should know that on weekends the karaoke bar downstairs is loud until about 2am both with with both music and drunks spilling out after closing. Bring earplugs. Also, no coffee service is provided in the room or in the lobby area.

Historic, quirky, and an overall great hotel!

We have stayed here before, and our experiences have been consistently good! My only complaint is lack of coffee either in the rooms, or in the lobby. On very cold mornings, walking to Cafe Nero is not ideal.
