an absolutely terrible experience. It started when we were asked if we'd pre-ordered breakfast, we asked for something simple, rolls and coffee. we were shown to our rooms, old towels littered the floor. The rooms were small, had an unpleasant stale odour and were not ensuite. I had a hand bowl but no soap.
after returning from a meal at 11pm I couldn't get to sleep as there was a bridge evening downstairs and the noise combined with an over zealous use of a microphone was unbearable. In the morning they couldn't even rustle up a bread roll, they refused to accept a credit card (in a hotel!) and declined my debit card so I had to rush out to get cash. On commenting about the awful noise, the poor quality of the rooms, non existent breakfast and lack of soap I was told, sorry we're a budget hotel. This obviously reflects the owners attitude to customer care. My recommendation is find another hotel, failing that sleep in your care, or find a park bench.
