Exceptional stay at this lovely property in the heart of the old town during the Loy Kratong festival in November. I have have never stayed anywhere where the staff truly make you feel beyond welcome and will do anything to make sure your stay is exceptional. They surprised me the first morning after breakfast by having all of the staff sing me happy birthday and surprised me with a full cake. You could tell it meant so much to their staff that it brought me to tears. The hotel is right on the moat of the old town and steps away from the old Tape Gate. Great location for enjoying the festival although because it’s in the heart of the action it was hard to fall asleep with everyone lighting off fireworks and celebrating until the wee hours of the morning. I would also say that the one downfall of the hotel stay was how hard the bed and pillows were. As my husband would say it was like sleeping on a hay bail. The staff did their best to find us softer pillows but it was a hard sleep. The included breakfast was simple yet good and the restaurant was great for a refreshing drink and snack in the afternoon or late evening although I never had a full dinner there. Beautiful property but the staff is truly what makes it shine.

We came to Chiang Mai for the week and had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff were all very kind and greeted us each day. They are staffed 24/7 so any time we had a question they were able to assist. We purchased breakfast included which was a great idea- they have a variety of dishes to eat (the fried rice was amazing). The hotel and our room were very clean. This hotel was a great location. It was about a 15 minute walk to the night market and very close to the Sunday night market. Also, since it is in the old city- pick up for most tours is free. I really enjoyed being able to walk outside and see the old city walls and the moat. I would truly recommend this hotel to who ever is looking to stay in the old city.

Amazing service five stars
I will stay here again next time I visit. The hotel is outstanding with the quality of their service. My room was beautifully decorated for a special occasion. The staff were helpful with everything, local recommendations, tours, and we never waited for anything we needed. The noodle breakfast was delicious and they even made us 2 breakfasts to take away so we could make the 7:30 am tour departure. We left feeling wow these people are wonderful!

The staff were amazing; super friendly and helpful, concerned about me when I missed a free breakfast (and let me know I can request a box breakfast if I can't make breakfast in person). The hotel and room was super clean, and the little cafe in the restaurant was superb. The location was incredible - right in old Chiang Mai, walking distance to tons of great restaurants, pubs, Saturday Night Market, Sunday Market, must see temples (like Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh), and of course massage everywhere. The only concern I'd note is that the listing on Expedia says they provide laundry service - they do not. This wasn't a problem though, there is a great (clean, comfortable) little laundrymat just a 4 minute walk down the road. But the expedia listing should be corrected for accuracy. We (my wife and I) loved our stay at this little hotel.

The hotel and room was the most amazingly “private” experience I have ever encountered. If you love a unique, non-commercial hotel, then choose 1905 Heritage Corner. I would love to have the suite in which I stayed in my house. Everything was perfect and well thought out.

Very unfriendly and patrionizing front desk staff. Most of them just didn’t even talk but waved me around. Sound-proof windows didn’t do their work, either. Got quite noisy at night with motorcycles. Think twice before you make your reservation here.

Loved it!
The hotel itself was lovely. Clean, air conditioned room facing a Buddhist temple giving our stay a very authentic feel! The staff were superb, very friendly and polite and went out of their way to help us whenever we needed them. They really made us feel at home. They have free drinks in the fridge which is very rare for hotels these days. The cleaning staff were a bit noisy at times, they would start hoovering at 9-10am which woke us. They should perhaps leave this until after midday so not to disturb guests. Other than that, I would definitely come back and stay here!

Nice little boutique hotel
Very attentive and polite staff. Great service overall. Room was clean and big enough. Breakfast was average, with a narrow list of items to choose from (not buffet style). We ended up eating pretty much the same things for 3 consecutive mornings. However, the great service from the female staff staff situated at the cafe more than made up. overall impressed.
