I had a brilliant stay at Drop In Tottori. The staff are welcoming and kind. There is easy transit to the sand dunes and sand museum which was definitely worth a visit. The pod has a lot of space - almost enough to stand up. You are provided with a locker underneath your pod for larger baggage as well as a smaller locker by your head. I slept well and had an amazing stay.

This place was great. The cabins are spacious and all the facilities are clean. The lounge area downstairs is quiet, ha plenty of space and a kitchen. Also the staff spoke English very well.

Great Hostel in all areas. Had ample storage space to lock up luggage. Clean facilities and comfortable beds. Its right next to the JR and bus stations. They even provided me with a complementary drink for my stay. Probably one of the best hosts in Tottori.

The hostel was just diagonal to the train station on it's left. Staff was very friendly n helpful though she didn't speak English. The room was very clean n the individual space was very well thought out n friendly. Even the bathrooms n toilets were just outside the rooms without walking far away for use. Room key needed though to go back into the room so room key needed to go in n out of room/ property. Free coffee/tea provided too.

3-5mins walk from Train station. Nearby (look out for New Otani Hotel) has a street full of eateries, small restaurants and high class restaurants. Many choices. About 4 mins walk to AEON, good to get food and other stuff, but not a big shopping compare to other cities. Easy to ride a bus at train station to places of interest. It is clean, I was there during low peak, so whole women unit only 3 - 4 pax I think, so very quite and good. Down side, no microwave and toaster which most hostels do provided.

The staff at Drop Inn are polite, kind and helpful. They made sure I was comfortable for my week long stay. Unfortunately I was unable to eat my own food at the hostel, but they do have a lovely restaurant inside.

Upon arrival, I checked with the owner the best attire for the day for my sand boarding session in the afternoon. She helped to call the vendor and got all my questions answered! I booked for a space at window area, so there were 6 of them. There's a separate access to reach this area and didnt look as cramp/dim. I felt safe. It's my first time in a capsule room (almost) & I felt the design was cool. Sleeping space was spacious; I could stand when inside the capsule; the compartments for luggage n belongings were brilliant designs. There was only a shower room and toilet on that floor. During my 2-night, I only bumped into another lady at the washroom so it was almost exclusive use. Everything was clean and details taken care of. Breakfast might be simple bread with jam/butter, coffee, juice. It still saved me some yen and good to start the days.

This hostel is marvelously close to Tottori Station, easily under 5 minutes' walk, which is fantastic! The dorm was clean and quiet, and everything was well-maintained. My only suggestion for improvement would be some sort of kitchenette, at least a microwave and hot water for Cup Noodles for those of us getting in after the restaurants have closed. Beyond that, a fantastic hostel for a fantastic price!

This is a brand new establishment with the sparkling cleanness, plus the basic breakfast. Everything is great, especially the friendly and helpful staff who helped me find the bank for money exchange, thanks a lot. However, the wifi is sometimes slow at night. The ventilation may be another issue, as the vent hole inside the each cubic is not equipped with the individual fan, but centrally controlled for the air circulation.

Capsule hotel is 5-8 mins from the JR Tottori station. Just cross the road twice and you're there. They email you instructions with photos on how to get there from the station as well. It was extremely clean. There was a choice between mixed, males, or female gender floors. I was in the female floor. It had a washer/dryer machine, shower area, modern toliets, multiple sinks and mirrors to prep for the morning or night, and you get a fob key to enter your floor room. You also get keys to lock your cubby area underneath your bed (for my small rolling luggage) and a security box by your bed. Strong air conditioning throughout the building so it didn't smell at all. Had a nice cafe and hang out area in the lobby to charge your devices as well. Nice choices of restaurants to eat at, cafes, and convenient stores nearby. The staff at the desk was very sweet and spoke English well too. I would not hesitate to book this place again! Awesome hostel!
