Aug 10, 2026This is a good place to stay in Goderich. The bed was great, the room was comfortable, and the staff were great folks. Be aware that no breakfast is included, which was OK with me.

However there were cigarette buds still in ashtray outside of room and the entire room smelled like cigarettes and food eventhough its a smoke free motel. Reception smelled awful. Owner / manager was very rude. Personal shoes everywhere. I made the mistake of leaving a Google review before check out. When I came back to my room at night my key had been disabled so that I would see the manager and he could scold me for my review. He was very defensive and argumentative and very unprofessional. I would have returned but after that incident I will not. Price is decent. Location is prime.
