May 19, 2026Parking easy and I believe safe. No food places nearby, except for a Mc Donalds with no pedestrians and a dunkin in a gas station. In terms of shops a Target, with 20 customers inside.. The area around does not feel safe to walk in, nor is there anything to see.

May 27, 2026Motel seemed to have been freshly painted. Rooms cleaner. Location not so good. I checked out the same day I checked in due to location and people hanging around. Looked up Ivy Hotel on google to find out it was known for illegal activities. Including 2 homicides, many robberies and assaults. Was not safe place for a lady and granddaughter.

Sep 25, 2026This hotel was a horrible & unsafe choice. The experience was nothing like what was advertised. When we arrived, there was an obvious drug deal going on in the parking lot! Not something you could misinterpret. That alone made us leary, but checking in made things worse. The front door was locked, and when someone finally opened it, he didn’t acknowledge us at all. He walked straight behind a thick bullet‑proof window. We had to slide our ID & credit card under the glass like we were at a bank. The reception area looked nothing like the photos online, and the room didn’t match the pictures either. It wasn't clean, and we didn't feel safe there. People were wandering around the property talking loudly all night long.
The entire environment felt unstable. The hotel gave us a terrible 1st impression of DC, and our nation’s capital. The hotel advertises itself as a “comfortable, contemporary boutique hotel” where you’ll “want to stay as long as you can.” Absolutely not. The description is completely inaccurate. We couldn’t get a refund despite the unsafe conditions, so we paid and booked another hotel just to feel safe. We later found out in 2023 & 2024, the hotel was the site of 2 homicides, armed robberies + multiple drug-related deaths. The D.C. AG issued mandatory security improvement orders. It hasn't helped!
Please, spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. This property is not what it claims to be, and our experience was "genuinely horrible."

The AC was making a lot of noise even we turn in on low level.

Rooms are basic. Bathroom was dated. They seemed clean.
Was very loud on the weekend and you can hear the people who are above you.
Parking is free, which is nice.
