A pleasant surprise and the loveliest of rooms. I was in town for Shakespeare and my friends' hotel was unavailable. In the end, I was happy for that. Everything was closer than a 15 minute walk. I enjoyed the art gallery on the 3rd floor! The staff was welcoming and helpful. I will be returning!

The Blackburn Inn is such an interesting place to stay. Rich in history and very well maintained. I appreciated that the building still carries much of the details of its past. The only downfall was that construction was being done on one of the buildings (but yay for expansion!) so it was a little less pleasing to the eye. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed talking to the staff about the history of the building and some surrounding buildings. Would absolutely stay here again!

It was an ok last minute stay. The property is being renovated so construction began early on Monday morning. There were cobwebs in our room and the floor was gritty. I just don’t think they were expecting guests maybe so the few hours booking notice wasn’t enough. I think I would choose elsewhere next time. The shower and showerhead were the nicest part of our stay. The gentleman at check in did offer some suggestions for dinner and that was helpful.
