Nagoya and related destinations

Between ancient temples and futuristic skyscrapers, Nagoya reveals itself as Japan's underappreciated marvel. The reconstructed Nagoya Castle dazzles with golden dolphins atop its roof, while the Toyota Automobile Museum tells the story of Japan's industrial might through perfectly polished vintage cars. At Port of Nagoya Aquarium, dolphins perform with such enthusiasm you'd think they were auditioning for something better. LEGOLAND Japan offers brick-built wonders that delight children and secretly impress adults. For a cultural fix, the Nagoya City Art Museum houses treasures in a building that's itself a masterpiece of modernism. Save room for miso-katsu, the local breaded pork cutlet that locals defend with surprising passion.

Nikko Style Nagoya

10/10 Excellent
"I recently stayed at Nikko Style. Check-in was smooth, as an English-speaking staff member was available. The room was spacious, the TV was easy to connect to my laptop, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a slight moldy smell, but I relaxed in the tub, which was quite deep and low (Western-style), for longer than planned because it was so nice. I slept very well. It was quiet and peaceful. The entire hotel is non-smoking, which is perfect. The breakfast buffet is somewhat unique. You choose a main entrée, and the other items are supplementary. I found the food very well presented and delicious. I wanted a luxurious experience at a reasonable price, and I felt I achieved it here!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Nagoya

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Nagoya is in January, March, and June, when hotel prices are lower. For those looking to explore the city's significant landmarks and cultural heritage, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, visitors can enjoy attractions such as Nagoya Castle, various museums, and historical sites, along with opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, and experiencing local temples. This budget-friendly approach ensures great value for money while discovering the rich history and culture of Nagoya.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Nagoya, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Enabling email alerts or push notifications can help you stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, so you don't miss out on potential savings. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, making it easier to find the best options. If prices drop or rooms become available, you could be among the first to know, ensuring a smooth booking experience.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Nagoya hotel. If you’re in search of something special, boutique hotels may provide a more tailored experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest more budget-friendly dates to help you find the best deal.
  4. Consider your location: Choosing to stay near key attractions or city centres can be convenient, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, you might want to look at hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, which usually tend to be cheaper while still offering reasonable access to the sites you wish to see. Additionally, consider exploring independent hotels located further out, as they can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
