A hotel with conflicting ambitions
Villa Bracali sits on a hill in Tuscany. It has great potential for being a great calm retreat. They even specify on their web page that they are an "ideal place to free the mind of chaos and everyday life". This might be true, but they can't both claim that, and host loud parties with thumping music in the garden. We expected a few days of winding down, but that was ruined by a party booking in the garden. Overall this feels more like a normal hotel than the tuscan agritourism. Service is pleasant, but perhaps a bit relaxed. The food we had was really good, and we recommend to take the daily menu for the best experience. A fine hotel experience, but not as calm as we expected from the web site.

Skønt sted med pool og fantastisk udsigt
Lille fin gammel “herregård” renoveret smukt og med fine nye badeværelser. Måske 8-10 værelser i alt. Rent og velholdt overalt og sødt og venligt personale. Den smukkeste udsigt fra haven og poolen over dalen og bakkerne. Vi havde værelse mod baghaven - to sammenhængende dobbeltværelser til vores familie på fire. Her er ingen udsigt, men det var fint for os at bruge have og pool. Vi var der fire dejlige og afstressende dage - god blanding af poolferie og kulturferie. Let at køre til mange fine steder i Toscana. Man kan tage toget til Firenze fra enten den lille nærliggende by eller en af de andre byer tæt på. Toget til Firenze tager 50 min. Spis pizza i den lille borgby Seravalle Pistoiese, skøn udflugt tæt på.
