An absolute disaster of a hotel!
1. When I called to ensure that someone would let me in, as per late check-in instructions, I spoke in English and got hung up on!
2. When I found a Spanish speaker to call them, it was a very complicated process and long conversation.
3. They refused to honor the Expedia rate because they did not have the single room that I booked and forced me to pay for a double. This was not mentioned until I got there.
4. Room was on the 6th floor, with no elevator.
5. Building is under construction and to get from the reception to a room, you walk through a construction site.
6. Comforter and pillows were filthy and there was hair on the sheets.
7. Construction is very low grade and the insulation minimal; cold air gets in and so does the noise from the street, even on the 6th floor.
8. Shower isn't well insulated; water leaked all over the bathroom and spilled into the bedroom.
9. There was only one towel (in a double) and the tiniest bar of hotel soap I've ever seen; it was just barely enough for one shower.
10. There is no internal telephone; if you need anything, you'd have to go down 6 flights of stairs to get it.
11. Walking through the construction in the morning, I had to pass construction workers and squeeze between a truck and wall to get through to the reception.
12. On check-out, I told the English speaking receptionist about my experience, but she didn't even apologize for it.
I would not stay here again even if it was for free!
