"This Comfort Inn was great. The rooms were clean and even smelled clean. We loved that the rooms didn't have carpet, as that is why a lot of hotel rooms don't smell fresh. The beds were comfortable enough. The free continental breakfast was good; there was enough variety. Some reviews say the area is sketchy, but it didn't feel unsafe at all, there was just construction going on next door, and there were a few homeless people in the area; nothing alarming. We also loved that there was a good sized parking lot, as well as a single level parking garage, as parking can be scarce in San Diego. The only complaint I have about the parking garage was that it had huge pillers so some of the spots were difficult to park in if you drive a larger vehicle. Just a block or 2 over, there are food places and stores if you need anything. Overall, this is a great place to stay; I would come back if I was in the area again."

"The proximity to everything (seaworld, Mission Beach, Belmont park, etc) grounds are beautiful. I had a park view this time so my patio led out to the park with the public so my family and I had dinner with the locals. "
