As the property was currently undergoing renovation, there were a few inconviences that the staff and service worked hard to overcome. The room was very luxurious with nice upmarket spa features.
The one exception to our stay was the breakfast experience. A "complimentary" continental breakfast consisted of coffee or tea served in takeout cups, and a solitary muffin on a napkin (no seating; it was in a foyer.) The actual restaurant you had to exit outside and go around the side of the building to enter it via a side entrance. The set breakfast was $30, which was not too bad, but we didn't have time for it. Instead we ordered ala carte. A bowl of fruit brought unsolicited to us each cost us $15 each, and a breakfast of a bagel with salmon, and avocado toast with coffee and tea cost over $100 with a mandatory service charge. Even for San Francisco that was steep. However, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
