Clean and nicely decorated room. Unexpected mini fridge with nice goodies in it - drinks, kitkats, crips, biscuits. Massive and comfy bed. Great shower. Breakfast was good & plentiful. Only think that lets this hotel down is the poor state of repair in leisure facilities- noisy plant, grubby looking, pool lining ridged, changing facilities a little dirty and needing work. Money needs spent on an overhaul to this area of the hotel. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay.

Room is okay, but pillows hard as bricks and in general poorly maintained. New bathroom but poor craftmanship. Good size room (standard w. double bed). Greeting and polite staff.

We were really impressed by the food and good menu with lots of choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa was great although slightly run down. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely come back

The gym/pool was very disappointing. Only 1 towel between 2 of us. The pool was occupied by a children's swimming lesson even though it wasn't on the timetable and the Jacuzzi was closed!

A good stay was had by all.
We were travelling to a family wedding and stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn to make it easier to be fresh on the morning. We were made very welcome at reception and ate in the restaurant which was good. The rooms were good and clean. Breakfast was satisfactory.

I recommend the Premium Room
We had a Premium Room this time which was excellent in most respects. The bed had an undersized mattress on it for some reason, which made it a bit too narrow for two people (may be different in other rooms). Other than that it was very comfortable.

The hotel was clean and also the rooms. Staff very helpful. Breakfasts plenty of choice. Free car parking. Can get a bus outside the hotel into Lancaster which we did. Would recommend it.

Wonderful relaxing family night away
I decided to stay somewhere extra special with a pool for my girls on the way back home. We had a smooth check in then enjoyed a peaceful relaxing swim in the pool sadly the jacuzzi was broken but the pool was clean and great fun!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner and my daughter enjoyed the children’s play area afterwards. The rooms were spacious and the staff quickly brought me up a travel cot without any problems. We enjoyed a comfortable sleep , a delicious breakfast and a morning swim before our journey back home to Scotland. I will definitely plan to stay here again on my next journey down south. Thank you.

Perfectly fine for one night. The whole place is looking a bit tired and could do with renovating. Staff were fine although the stay was marred by having a power cut.
