Nice place in Mechanicsville
Nice place to stay in general, though there was outside noise from the road and people - rather typical of many hotels. It was easy to hear the next room as well. Things quieted down at night. Bed was comfortable, shower was nice, Wi-Fi worked well - breakfast we skipped - looking for fruit and the only thing they had were some apples that were smaller than a tennis ball and didn't look appetizing. There are many restaurants around. Would we stay here again? Yes, if we wanted this particular area as there are only 2 choices and the other was more expensive, plus closer to the road. Otherwise we would pick somewhere less expensive in general.

POOR Service! Rooms were not ready & system outage
When we showed up they gave us keys to two different rooms there were not ready yet so we were not able to check in until after our event; when we returned after midnight, they were having a system outage that was preventing people from entering their rooms with the electronic key system so we weren't able to check in then and were forced to leave to find elsewhere to stay as they said it would be over an hour and it was the middle of the night. I've called repeatedly and either got no answer or was told to call back the next day for a manager that I have yet to get ahold of and I've sent multiple messages now to get a refund with NO response or refund.

The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and updated. It was a bit noisy in the hallway. The breakfast was just barely ok. The coffee tasted old and not drinkable but that is just a minor issue.

Our stay was amazing. We had time to make memories, dinner out was very convenient, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. For us, it was like coming home. The only thing we did miss was the pool. We did not realize it was closed because it was outside. However, that did not tarnish our stay. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Staff vacuumed while I was eating the very limited breakfast they had. Staff was eating more than the hotel customers. No bars of soap. Pool was in the shade and small. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
