An Elevated Hostel Experience
We stayed in the chic side of the lodge, which is a slightly elevated hotel room rather than a hostel. It was not luxurious but it was clean, quiet and roomy with a lovely view of the mountains. The breakfast was simple. It is not located in the village of Grindelwald but with the free bus pass, it is easy to get back and forth. It is next to the Terminal which is great for getting the train and the Top of Europe cable car. Overall, it was good for us but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Perfect location
This was the perfect location especially with the balcony view of the mountains! It's also a couple minutes walk to the terminal so it's super easy to get around. The hotel is pretty new so it's very modern and clean. Loved the room and it was very comfortable. Best place to stay in Grindelwald with convenience, cleanliness, and views!

Things to note for your next stay
It’s not a hotel, so don’t expect there are facial tissues, fridge and water pot. Many people would smoke just in front of the building entrance (not sure if they’re staff or visitors). The room is quiet and the balcony view is superb. Staff is friendly and able to provide recommendations for activities to do depending on the weather. Location is perfect if you plan to go to Jungfrau, especially early in the morning as it’s just next to the Terminal and Grund station, 3 minutes walk. (There’s Coop in Terminal)

We had an amazing stay at Eiger Lodge. It's half hostel and half hotel which is convenient for all types of travellers. We stayed in the hotel part and it was very clean. Beautiful views and very kind and helpful staff. One restaurant on site and had to bus or walk to others nearby. Would highly recommend staying here if you want to be in the mountains.
