Can't wait to go back!
I planned a surprise birthday for my partner and this was where the group stayed. The hotel was great. They offered live music and it was nicely decorated for the Holiday Season. We arrived a couple days after the NYE incident and the staff did their best to make our trip memorable for our friends. Even though its a converted hotel, the rooms were really nice. I enjoyed our suite and it's furnishings. The beds were comfortable and they accommodated my feather pillow allergy with no issues.

DO NOT CHOOSE A CORNER KING SUITE
We loved the location of the hotel, as well as the reception area, bar and lobby. We booked a corner King suite, which had a lovely interior. Here were the problems….. even though the room had massive windows. You could not leave your curtains open because there are buildings both to the right and left of the room. Hence, the room was very dark. Also, room 239, the rear right corner suite on the second floor, is extremely noisy. We had a three night stay and on at least two of the nights were awoken at approximately 4:30 AM by the sound of garbage trucks picking up garbage from large containers on the street below us. The first floor of the hotel is fun and funky but I will not book this hotel to stay in again.

Single night in Nola with a couple hiccups
The property is beautiful. Amazing design and stylings. Stopped into New Orleans for 1 night as part of a cross country road trip and glad we chose the Eliza Jane. Friendly staff, great atmosphere at the bar, and the live jazz band were great. Our room was very clean and well kept. Made for a comfortable stay. Only 2 complaints. Due to Mardi Gras we could not park at the hotel which made for an adventure in getting to the property. The location is right on the parade route but was not listed anywhere in the website about possible issues. Second complaint was very low water pressure in our shower. Not the end of the world but was unexpected.

Loved our stay at the Eliza Jane
Loved our Stay at the Eliza Jane. Hotel had a cool vibe and very clean. Bed was very comfortable and hotel had nice amenities. Hotel bar was great and had good food/drinks. We really loved the location of this hotel. Very conveniently located a couple of blocks from the French Quarter and the area around and on Magazine St had a lot of cool spots! Would definitely stay here again!

Disappointed with our stay - I would not recommend this place. The negative reviews you see are true and the service issues seem to be increasing. I tried to reach a GM to share the feedback via direct email, Instagram message, and via the front desk staff but never heard back. Property: amazing location and gorgeous building. The design is so unique. It has so much potential but isn’t well kept. There were massive stains in the hallways and in our room. Room: nice and spacious, with a comfortable bed but again, it had so much potential but wasn’t executed well. In addition to the carpet stains, the towels also had stains. While the room was beautiful, the lighting is so dim you can barely see anything. Service: biggest issue here was the horrible service. All staff lack basic hospitality. They don’t make eye contact, never say “please” or “thank you” or “welcome” etc, and they are discourteous. Our room wasn’t cleaned each day unless we called for it. We tend to call for HSKP when we leave our room each morning with hopes that it will be clean by the time we arrive in the afternoon. However, this never worked out for us though it works at any other hotel we have visited. On the second to last day we asked for housekeeping three times before they came and had to sit outside waiting for them to be done. Same thing on our final night too. We called at 10am and by 2pm the room still wasn’t cleaned. The Front Desk Agent took no responsibility.

We stayed for 7 nights over the holidays and thought the decor and building was beautiful. A few things I had overlooked when booking were the reviews that mentioned the 3 main issues we had. Our ac didn't really work and was always off and on and in need of adjusting, the noise every night from the lower bar was very loud and disruptive. It's an open concept and with the hollow wood doors, you hear everything. And then when it came to our room we couldn't get more than 2 waters per day yet paid for a room with 4 adults and our last day we never got any towels so we had to call down twice because they never arrived and we were told to wait in our room for them. Overall, I don't think we would stay again and I really should have paid more attention to the reviews.
