Lovely stay in rye.
Hotel was located within a five minute walk of the town centre. Staff were really friendly and room was spacious and clean. Comfy bed, powerful shower. Breakfast choices were excellent also. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in rye.

6/10 Good

Overpriced poor hotel trading on location
Great location, but that’s about it. Check in was very unfriendly. Carpet are thread bare, door hit the bed, bathroom was tiny, asked for the room to be serviced first night it never was, requested more tea it was dumped in a bag outside the door, shower gel had run out in the shower, shower head had fallen off. Full English Breakfast, was pretty average, avocado smashed toast came out of a packet. Coffee machine was ok, but took a long time and forced a long queue. On check out we mentioned the room issues was met with a shrug and ‘we will add it to the list’ no apology. Room was quite expensive, and had to pay extra for parking at the hotel.

Lookout Hotel Rye.
The staff are professional and friendly. The quality, amount and choice of beakfast was excellent. Happy hour on wine and beer with a complimentary cheeseboard was excellent. Room 7 was large with chair, coffee table and 2sofas. The queen size bed was very comfortable and an undisturbed 2 nights sleep was had. The only thing there should be a odd job person on a daily basis to repair curtain lining touch up paintwork. However the style and furniture was lovely. We are definitely rebooking in the near future.

The hotel was amazing and friendly staff. Our room was absolutely beautiful and big. We enjoyed all amenities and the happy hour on the hall area with lovely Christmas decorations. Great location in 2 minutes walking from the beautiful high street. Highly recommend for a break

4/10 Fair

Very disappointing
Our room was on the lower floor and although large was shabby. During our second day I returned to the room and noticed a disgusting smell coming from the bathroom, I was offered an air freshener but told them it would take a bit more than that to sort it out. Only when the smell became unbearable we're we moved to the sister hotel where we were very well looked after. However having stayed at the Lookout 2 years ago when we had a great time we felt that this time the hotel seemed neglected, the quality of the breakfast was lacking and it was just very expensive for a very lackluster stay. Will not be returning

Disappointed
Was very disappointed, we stayed in room 20. All the curtains were to long and frayed down the edges, a curtain pelmet was missing and curtains hanging loose. Carpets stained. Corridors need repainting. I could go !!

A great and convenient place to stay
On arrival the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Gave us lots of information. We were upgraded to a kingsize but although the room was clean and had all the facilities it could do with some TLC. I understand rooms are being revamped. All staff were help and friendly and always ready to help. The hotel in in a great position for visiting the town and we would certainly book another trip here with no hesitation. Thank you all at The Lookout for a very enjoyable break.

This was in a very convenient place, had very well equipped and comfortable rooms, and the staff were friendly, kind and helpful. We had an excellent breakfast - there was a good range of food on offer, and we had the best kipper we had ever tasted! We also appreciated the advice to eat at The Lookout's sister hotel, and had a splendid meal there too. Altogether a very good stay, and we would heartily recommend this hotel. S and S, Bromley
