Fun Resort

The resort offers a good range of experiences and places to hang out. I loved the Splash Park and fitness activities (that actually took place at their scheduled times). There are several pools and lots of loungers in addition to loungers on the beach. The beach hustlers are a little annoying. The resort is close to the airport, which is convenient. The only downside is the roar of planes as they take off immediately overhead multiple times throughout the day.

So much fun!

The staff were incredibly helpful, kind and eager to make the guests happy. The dining staff were quick with cleaning up plates once done your meal, serving beverages and keeping them topped up. The entertainment staff were the best! If you looked too bored someone came by with a game to entertain.

I liked coming during the off season. There were plenty of chairs by the pools to choose from. I didn’t feel I had to rush out and try to save chairs…that is prohibited, but we all know it happens. The pools were great and not crowded and if you didn’t want to be in the party pool you could choose one more chill. Serving/staff at the pool would have been a benefit. Maybe they don’t have it during the more quieter months. We had to go get our drinks each time, which we just were be whiny and lazy not wanting to do it ourselves. We never had to wait long though. Sports bar was great, as was the White Party. I suggest downloading the Riu app in advance or looking at their website to see if you will be there during their White Party or Neon Party to come prepared. I was not, but it was still fun. Drinks were great! So much to choose from. Food…well, if you’ve been to all inclusive before then IYKYK. But overall, fine. All of the staff were great. Cannot remember her name…Jamaican, young female, long black hair, braces, beautiful smile, probably mid 20s was absolutely wonderful! Loved her energy and wittiness! Loved that there was a taxi service right on site and affordable. Airport to hotel is less than 10 min. Wish there was a ATM on site. Power did go out a few times but last less than 30-60 min. You can not get extra pool towels. One towel per guest. Bring your own if you want more than one. Don’t lose your key cards or towel cards, either.

Riu Montego Bay was great! Pool bar staff was amazing, room was nice and clean. Bed was a lot hard and the pull out wasnt very comfy, but everyone has different preferences in beds so that’s subjective. There were plenty of dining options although we just went to the buffet to avoid making reservations. The buffet was actually pretty good, too! Lots of different options and food was above average for buffets. Drinks were all good, and the stage show (steel Drum show) was incredible! We had a fantastic time and would love to visit again!

I brought my mom for her 70th birthday... it was my husband's birthday gift from me...and it was my God mom's honeymoon . everything was excellent from check in to check out the rooms were nice spacious clean the staff was very warm and genuinely welcoming.. perks and amenities were awesome... the saxophone player that serenaded us while we were on the balcony put everything over the top my mom cried !! We had 24-hour room service where we could order whatever we wanted at any time .. we had turn down service every night where they came checked on us freshened up our room and turned our beds down if we wanted.
