Very good hotel
The owner is friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very well located. A piano is available to guests: I played it! Good value for the price.

Worth trying out!
A very central location, a very friendly staff and a good breakfast included. It’s quirky with all the colors, paintings and antique furniture. It’s a very good low price for such a central location.

Great location & quirky, but not comfy
I really wanted my stay in this hotel to be good. It looked quirky and original with great decor. And that it was. It's also very central, but... -TV and roof terrace were listed - no roof terrace I could see and all TV are w/o signal so they took the remotes away. -Not sound proofing, if your room is overlooking the very busy street, good luck sleeping. I requested a swop immediately after check-in for that reason and to their credit they were OK with that. -In both rooms I saw, there was no hooks for towels and the blinds were too small to effectively block the light. -My room was warm but the bed was a bit hard for me and on the 2nd night I saw a cockroach in the wardrobe, yuck! -finally, there was no hot water in the morning of my last day. This may not have affected all teh rooms, just a section but it was very irritating. I won't stay there again.

A good place to stay
Excellent location, close to Grand Place and lots of restaurants. Simple breakfast of crusty bread, cheese and croissant with jam. Staff very friendly. Room a little tired but perfectly fine for the price.

Unforgettable Stay, Great Breakfast, Awesome Staff
The bed was a thin cot and the walls were paper thin; I spent the night listening to my neighbor's antics and conversations. BUT you must spend a night here. This is the most memorable hotel on our trip. The hotel is designed unlike anything I have seen in my travels. This is a bucket list hotel. So close to the heart of Brussels. I would love to read about the history of this hotel.

Great location
Quirky hotel in a perfect location. Friendly and attentive staff. Basic room, but clean and safe with a nice, hot shower. Breakfast was fine (tea/coffee, orange juice, croissant, baguette, jam and cheese). Would happily stay again.

You will be disappointed with this hotel…..
Can’t beat the location which is why we chose this hotel. If you took the location away you would be disappointed staying at this hotel. Cold rooms, poor bed and bedding, noisy smelly, wrong room type given to us on arrival and ‘no others available’ breakfast poor and cleanliness questionable.

Great Location, But Let Down by Hygiene and Dated
The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the area and access key attractions. However, the rooms are quite dated and could benefit from some modernisation to improve comfort and overall appeal. The breakfast was a disappointment. It consisted of coffee, a croissant, a slice of bread, cheese, and some butter. Unfortunately, the setup lacked proper hygiene; the food was left sitting uncovered on tables with people walking past, which didn’t feel sanitary. We ultimately decided to skip breakfast for this reason. While the location is excellent, the outdated rooms and unappealing breakfast experience would make me hesitant to recommend this hotel without some improvements.

Great city center option, safe for solo travelers
The staff was very friendly and the location of this hotel is 10/10. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Can hear some noise from room, but I’ve found this pretty typical with most places I’ve stayed in Europe so it wasn’t bothersome. Full size bed and en suite bathroom were great, and the bed was topped with one of the comfiest blankets I’ve ever slept with. Pillows are a bit small but overall a great stay and fabulous location! There is also a cute cat on the property but he is skiddish lol

Quaint
Chose for unique design and central location in town. Location was perfect. Room was not what we expected based off pictures. There were 3 beds in a small room ‘downstairs’ from where you entered the room - we were expecting a loft with a little more space. Our room was challenging to find with poor signage. Elevator access, but not to the 1/2 floor we were staying on. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Worst experience ever. As a solo traveler I know now to always read reviews! Owner/manager, not sure which he is was “selling” his hotel the minute I walked in despite having a reservation already. Telling me how all the famous people come there. I get to my room and it was dark, cold and the blankets smelled awful. I can tell they haven’t been washed in some time. The heat was coming on. It was very cold in the room. I had someone come up and look at it and he literally just looked at it and said give it more time. It had already been on for almost 30 minutes. I asked how to get the TV to work and he said it didn’t. The floor is tile and when you walk you feel the dips in it. I decided to leave and booked another 5 star hotel 2 blocks down. I walked out without saying anything as the manager guy made me really uncomfortable when I checked in. He asked why I was taking my backpack. I said I didn’t go anywhere without it. He literally tried taking it off my back and kept saying he would keep it for me. Had I needed up having to stay this is not a hotel I felt comfortable changing in my room. It was a physical key to access the room and didn’t block from the inside. Read some of the other reviews and you’ll understand why no one should stay here! I was fortunate to not have the bed bug issue, although had I stayed longer, who knows!
