Tiny room (which I was aware of, it is specified in the description) but it is NOTHING like the photos they show. Also, if you get as "lucky" as I did, your room might just be one of the ones in the kitchen. Yes, my room door opened into the kitchen and I had to hear everything happening in the kitchen at all times of the day/night through paper-thin walls.
They don't have A/C (which I also knew about, that's not the complaint), but they have ceiling fans that can only be turned on with a remote control—which they do not give you; you have to leave a 10€ deposit IN CASH ONLY to get the remote control. Zero empathy about not having cash, they gave me attitude about it.
Shared bathrooms (which I also knew about) but for the three days I was there, nobody cleaned them. The same dirty floor towel that some guest left there by the shower door, was there all three days... crumpled in the exact same way. Not to mention that because of the lack of daily cleaning, and the hotel being at max capacity (I know because I tried to switch rooms out of the kitchen), the bathrooms smelled like bad gas station bathrooms.
In regard to the area, excellent location. Plenty of shops and restaurants, walking-distance to clubs and bars, and great access to all kinds of public transportation.
Maybe if it had been cheaper, I would not be so harsh with my review. But when you consider that you can get a way better room for much less—in the same area, I don't want to sugarcoat the experience.
