Place going backward
The rooms need love. It’s outdated and many things need attention and repair. You have so much potential and you charge heaps of money, however you elect not to do much about the cabins, beds, mattresses..etc. The food at the Bistro was the most boring thing. Again, you have so much potential but you only elect to serve what an average pub in any Australian state serves. As for the “Highlands”, it’s overpriced and the quality is not top notch. My wife and I also went to the spa. Shower door without handle and the whole thing is old and needs some love. You need to add heaps more activities to keep people engaged and interested and keep the place alive. Yes people are there for bush walks but what about if it’s heavily raining for 2-3 days ? What do the families with kids do?

Great place to stay when visiting Cradle Mountain
We stayed 3 nights. Buffet Breakfast was included and catered for all tastes and food types. The hotel had numerous of the Cradle Mountain walks starting near their reception as well as the shuttle bus to Ronnie Creek and Dove Lake being just over the road. They had the Highlander restaurant or the bar and bistro to eat at. The food was really great. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend staying at Peppers Cradle Mountain

8/10 Very good

Room was very comfortable , nice and warm on arrival. Downside no WiFi in room. We ate in the Tavern Bar which we felt better value than restaurant. Breakfast choice was good but cooked food should be better quality. Very helpful staff who gave advice on what we should do in the time we had. Walk around Dove Lake - brilliant.

Property was beautiful. The rooms were so cosy and clean. Food options were limited but equally delicious. Reception staff could have been more helpful and accomodating. That was the only let down, otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed ourcstay and will definitely come backbto Peppers Cradle Mountain.

Not the best
Was shocked there was no tv in the cabin. Went and got pizza for dinner and ended up very sick. Assuming food poisoning. Was the worst night of my life and our romantic get away turned into a nightmare . The cabin was cosy but as i vomitted all night and my partner had to listen it wasnt a pleasant stay. Could of stayed down the road 17klm and had a tv , kitchenette , lounge etc. For over half the price.

Peppers is in the best location out of all the accomodations in the area, right next to the national park and a few walking tracks around the property. Unfortunately due to the weather the National park was closed during my stay. I think this could have been communicated a bit better rather just going back to reception to ask every couple of hours. Otherwise the cabin was very cozy and I enjoyed being able to switch off and relax.

We had the most amazing Anniversary stay at Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge. The rooms were clean and spacious. The King Billy was exceptionally wonderful. Food at the Bistro was delightful (try the Cradle Burger and the Rigatoni Ragu). We were also lucky enough to get snow and staff were kind enough to transfer us to and from Devils @ Cradle. I highly recommend this resort and can’t wait for our next stay!

Very expensive for what we experienced. We were not sure if we could drink the water in the room. Beautiful location but the price we felt was beyond justifiable
