Could've done with a lot of tidying up outside empty carpet rolls and overgrown shrubs and trees stopped us walking through the gardens

Small rooms, average service
Rooms small. We had a double room each, and still felt cramped.

Everything was top notch except the mattress on the bed. Not enough to spoil the stay but a point of improvement.

We last stayed at the Waterwheel in April 2016 and were very impressed with the ambiance and quality of the property, cuisine and customer service. Our recent visit confirmed our previous experience and there has been a big expansion of the rooms but retaining the intimate nature of the Inn. Food and service still amazingly good, with breakfast to die for! Very highly recommended and we shall be back.

I had a great 5-night stay at The Waterwheel last week. This is a friendly and well-run place and the breakfasts are excellent! The location is handy for the Eden Project and, for me, it was good base to explore Cornwall from.
