The Dial House is the perfect place to stay in the Cotswolds. The town of Bourton-On-Water, is centrally located to so many villages. The Dial House is perfectly placed in Bourton. We stayed in a deluxe double and everything was wonderful. The shower took a bit of getting used to, but that was not a problem. The staff was perfect and the head man Scott could not have been nicer, more professional or more helpful. Great beds, good storage, good wi-fi and wonderful parking. I cannot recommend this hotel any more highly than I am. Wonderful and beyond our expectations. We didn’t do breakfast but our friends did and they raved about it. Look no further.

Hotel was lovely but the bed was very uncomfortable.

The family room was perfect for our family and it is right in the heart of Cobham. Yet, the restaurant and rooms are slightly off the road which provides a bit more privacy and it is not noisy.

Nice property and perfect location. Very good food, though a bit expensive. Owners were very nice. Parking easy and accessible. We would have love to stay in the main house; not on the side appartments. Did no enjoy arriving at 21hs (still daylight) and finding the place dark and closed. We had to phone called to have a person drive to the hotel and check us in while waiting outside. Room was very nice and convenient. Also comfortable, though the smaller room had a smell to it.

Elegant Cotswolds Experience

It was mother-daughter weekend trip to attend perfume workshop in beautiful setting of Cotswolds. We throughly enjoyed whole experience of the weekend walking along the water, eating beautifl meal at the hotel, and peaceful evening in our room.

What can we say from booking this hotel to the end of our visit, we have found everyone has been very quick with responses to queries leading up to visiting, on arrival every member of staff has been very friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel is ideal, just set back enough from the busy street. Our room was super (we had the garden room) lots of room and then to finish it off a nice private garden space to sit in (nice weather did help), we had breakfast included in our stay which was lovely, the black pudding was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. We also had a lunch & a dinner- every dish we had was very nicely presented and was very tasty, quality ingredients used. I’d book this hotel for hubby’s 60th & definitely felt he was rather spoilt. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay.

We loved everything about the Dial House. Its location in the center of Bourton on the Water made it easy to get around. We had 3 different rooms due to making reservations at different times & they were all comfortable & charming. The breakfasts were delicious & filling. I highly recommend The Dial house!

Absolutely loved this spot. The food. The fire. The staff. Amazing

A reasonably priced property that is quaint and central to the village. The room was tiny and smelled musty, especially the bathroom. There were also big cobwebs above the wardrobe. It was fine for one night and we had an excellent breakfast. If I was staying longer than one night I would pay for a better room. The communal rooms were lovely. We were able to keep the car in the car park for a few hours after checking out which was much appreciated. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful.

Super cute, but terrible bed

Incredible location in a super cute historical building. Charm to spare. While the room size was really small, it was manageable. The inexcusable thing was the cheap, hard, and painful mattress. I’m so happy we only were staying one night or I would have needed a full body massage.

Fantastic location, really good it has parking, garden area really nice, staff were very friendly. Only negative was we were on the ground floor of the coach house and the noise from the room above and the slamming doors wasn't good and prevented a good sleep.

My mom and I stayed at Dial House for 2 nights in June. We both loved it so much and felt right at home! The place was so cozy, the Sunday roast was divine, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We would 100% recommend this place and would love to return someday!

This is the perfect location to explore Burton-on-the-Water as you are right in the center of town. Check-in was easy and so was parking. The staff are very friendly and the gentleman that makes the drinks has a great sense of humor. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable although the location of our room was very noisy as it is right where all the deliveries occur for the hotel so we could hear vans driving on the gravel and opening doors during the night (Room 10). I would stay here again but would request not to be in this room as our friends were upstairs and said it was quiet.

Outstanding

Beautiful room in an incredible location. Loved the little patio off the room (Room #11). Staff were amazing!! Breakfast was wonderful with many choices including a delicious porridge and breakfast tea with little pastries. All outstanding!! Would definitely recommend.

The most beautiful area to stay and amazing food options available. The hotel was very quaint and stylish and the restaurant was fabulous. Staff very friendly and available when needed. My only feedback would be that a fridge in the room would be a great thing to have access to.

Amazing location and great staff
AMAR, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

I liked almost everything about this property, it was walkable so the location was great, the food was excellent and so were the cocktails, the staff was friendly and professional and it had a great charm to it. Some of the things that weren't so great that can definitely be improved upon are: 1. The amount of staffing present, the Dial House is beautiful but it could do with more front desk staff (the front desk staff checks in people, and walks them to their rooms, and takes food orders in the main building and brings the food out and manages the bill; it's alot for them to do. With that said, it's not manageable for them, for example, we asked if the front desk can kindly call a car for us to take us to the nearby train station (Moreton-in-Marsh railway station that's 15 minutes away) and they were so busy that they handed us a list to make the call for ourselves, I'm sorry but that is just unacceptable, we paid almost 300 pounds per night to stay there and expected better front desk service, the staff was very kind about not having the time to assist which we appreciated and so we had to call ourselves but it was stressful because we were worried we wouldn't be able to find someone since all of the numbers on the list the staff gave us was booked. So instead of enjoying our time, we had to try to figure out bus schedules and potential Uber advance bookings which led us to checking out very early, way pass our check-out time. Note we only spent 2 nights at the Dial House

There is nothing we didn’t love about this place! Carl and Adam greeted us and helped with luggage. Dinner and drinks were fabulous. The interior is beautiful. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Walking distance for the town. This is my favorite place we stayed on our 2 weeks around the country. Would love to go back.

Wonderful

Great room with a personal courtyard. We even had dinner from the restaurant brought to us because after we ordered my wife starting feeling sick. We had just flown in from the US. They don’t usually accommodate room service but they did for us.
