Accosted by drunk males trying to enter my room
I was upgraded to the penthouse when I checked in which I thought was amazing, great start.. oh how wrong I was.
On my 2nd day a random man tried entering my room and banging on the window, I asked him what he was doing and he shrugged and walked off. So I informed reception, they came and found him as he was still near my room and they said he was looking for the bathroom. Ok, maybe a genuine mistake but his body language when I confronted him didn't seem to act like it.
Then on my final night, I had 3x separate males trying to enter my suite and banging on the door window all between the hours of 2330-0240. I rung reception on each occasion. The first two were clearly drunk. Again when I asked them what they were doing they dismissed me. Then on the 3rd occasion at 0240 I rung reception, and they audibly sighed down the phone then stated "we've just been up sir and no one was there" it was at this stage I lost my temper with the madness and informed them "I am staring at him right now!". They then came up and removed him. In the morning they assured me I would get a full refund but I would have to claim through hotels.com. When I then spoke with hotels.com customer service they spoke with reception and denied any such agreement was in place. I'm a well travelled male, I hate to feel how a female would have felt in my place. Avoid this hotel.
