What a weekend! We had an absolute blast in Bridgewater. The motel was excellent in every respect: swift & painless check-in, handy location, clean & comfortable rooms (with a profusion of power points) & a motel owner invested in giving her customers a great experience. We couldn't have asked for more. [Insert extremely satisfied smiley face] Had dinner at the Bridgewater Hotel on Saturday evening. The food took a while to arrive but was totally worth the wait & the joint was jumping by 6.30pm. Spent Sunday at the rocket range near Serpentine. Talk about exciting! Most rockets launched successfully but a couple failed in spectacular style. That said, kudos to all the rocketeers participating on the day because, let's face it, this IS rocket science. [Insert totally-in-awe smiley face]

2/10 Poor

Unfortunately bad stay
There was nobody at reception, just a cold empty room. Very noisy with traffic throughout the night. No carpet in room and felt cold. Overall very expensive for what it was Recommend to go to Bendigo instead

So easy to check-in without any interaction with a human! Room was great -large, comfy sofa, good TV and wifi, soft, large towels for showering. Lots of tea, coffee & sugars plus 3 small cartons of milk and complimentary cereals. Would love to stay here again.

It’s a pretty good motel. We stay here every new year this time the shower was leaking badly all over the floor and could hear it all night which was annoying and unsafe. But it does have super easy check in whenever you get there as you check yourself in. Always quote from other people staying there. No bbq to use this time which made our trip hard as the pub was shut. And if you sleep light it’s not for you as it’s the truck route and they turn right out the front of the motel so noisy all the time. Otherwise comfy bed, nice and clean and easy and very good price for that time of year

4/10 Fair

This motel is very basic, however charge a fortune and add on expedia costs to the booking, however there is no way to book direct! Concrete floors, very average shower and water pressure, bathroom sink outside the bathroom adjoining the kitchenette (which was too very average). Beds and linen were comfortable, towels and bathroom necessities were cheap and nasty. I was very disappointed with the cost to what we received, $366 for the night, plus a very average overcharged meal and expensive drink prices at the local pub for a family Christmas party. Breakfast at the bakery didn't rate either, order was wrong and overly expensive. Definitely will not be staying again. I understand they were flooded, but I'm sure all the business' in the area had insurance. Time to ease up on that sympathy vote.

Excellent comfortable bed, all amenities there, it was almost like a 2 bedroom apartment, rather than a motel room, would definitely stay there again.

A motel without a human receptionist works well - until it doesn't. The automated check-in process required an Australian mobile phone number - which I didn't have (I have only an overseas mobile phone number). I was able to reach a human on the check-in terminal, and they were eventually able to check me in, by assigning me a fake Australian phone number. Then, when I got to my room, I found that the TV wouldn't work, because it's remote's batteries were dead. With no human receptionist around, there was nowhere for me to get new AA batteries for the remote (the nearby petrol station convenience store had closed for the evening). So I had to go without a TV.
