I was a little concerned when checking in and they asked for pictures of my id and a selfie to verify that I am who I am. However, once I rolled into town, the situation became clear. After an online check in, they gave me my room number and the code to get in. While this was very convenient, I kind of like checking in with hotel staff in person. The room was very clean and very comfortable. For this area, it is a great deal...and caters to the anglers out there. My only complaint is with the town...it appears that they have lost several of the dining options and the only things available on a tuesday night were fast food/hamburger joints. Do-able...but I was craving a beer at the local brewery which supposedly has good food.

The bathroom is small and the dressing room didn't have a door. Topaz was wondering every time I called

Solo trip to do some hiking on Mt Shasta and Castle Crag. This property is centrally located to both. Very clean. Has been recently renovated. I was given a ADA accessible room. Which was fine, larger bathroom with tub and on first floor. Only negative was no where to sit but on bed. No table or desk. But, overall great value for money. I would recommend it.

The inside of this room is super cute. It's clean and comfortable. I'd stay here again. The upstairs neighbors kept us awake most of the night, but once I called the front desk and complained at 1:30 AM, the front desk called them and took care of it. Super cute little room.

Room was nice, clean and cozy. We just wish there had been another TV for the separate room.

The Angler Lodge was a great find for our family! We are a family of 5 and every kid had their own bed! --One king, one twin, and twin bunks. We had the 2 bedroom suite. The room was clean, even in places where I'd expect to find dust. The beds were comfortable and the pillows and comforters were fluffy. Heater worked very well. Check in was a breeze! Noncontact. But the staff was very accessible via text. The little library was cute- my kids loved looking at the national parks books. (I would even consider having games to check out, but the books were great). I loved the virtual guidebook. I think maybe having something printed or posted in the room would be nice, too. We had a minor incident with one our kids and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Be aware that most places to eat close at 8pm, so be prepared. I wish we had more time to visit the dunsmuir botanical gardens, but maybe next time. We did see where Babe Ruth played 101 years earlier! We highly recommend and will definitely consider making this a routine stop if we ever travel through again.

This used to be a nice hotel but now the front desk is unstaffed. We arrived at night only to find no way into the room. Instead, I found the hotel phone number and learned that I had to fill out a web form, upload a selfie and a copy of my drivers license before they would send a door code. Terrible experience plus the door key pad did not work in the first several tries. At 1AM, we were awoken by a tow truck delivering a guest car. This kind of stuff does not happen when a motel has an actual onsite manager. Cheap skate hotel owners need to disclose the lack of staff ahead of time so that we can avoid this type of hotel.

Very nice comfortable rooms. Not a fan of the contactless check in . Don’t like giving copies of my license and credit card on line. Would have been nice to be able to get a few minutes early as we arrived early. Other than that place was clean and bed super comfortable. Would stay again.
