Small but Mighty Volcano Hotel
Cozy hotel near Black Beach in Vik. The hotel is small, it has only 7 rooms. These are spacious and clean. The hotel has a room where breakfast and dinner is served, and a seating area for relaxing.

A nice choice outside of Vik
The Volcano Hotel was outside of Vik situated by itself. The room was very nice with heated bathroom floor. The quality of the stay was surprisingly really good after the first impression when driving up. It is a small hotel but everything inside was very nice. Breakfast the next morning was better than most places we stayed at.

Great location
Great location right on the main highway. Hotel is tucked away far from the street so no road noise. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Room was spacious and comfortable. We got the room that you could park your car by it so it was easy to get the bags in and out. Dining area had a nice setup and there was also a cozy living room area set up for TV and board games.

Volcano Hotel was great for our group of 8. It was clean and the dining/common area was nice for gathering. Breakfast was wonderful! There were no controls for heat in individual rooms and at least one was too warm. There were some issues with no response to emails prior to our arrival and there was no one to check us in when we arrived but were responsive a while after we messaged. The location was good for getting to Vik and nice and dark for viewing the northern lights, which we were treated to, even from the windows of our room. I would definitely stay there again.

Check-in was easy, the rooms were clean and comfortable, there was a nice breakfast served every morning, the staff were super friendly and easy to talk to, the yard around the hotel made it easy to see the aurora borialis as the hotel is away from any commercial lights. We all loved staying at The Volcano Hotel and encourage others to check it out.

Close to the town of vik and the black sand beach. Nice that the rooms had nespresso machines, even though we did not use it. Expensive for what you get though: just a basic room and bathroom that is far from luxurious. However, it was clean and adequate for sleeping in. I did appreciate that it included breakfast, but it is a very basic one.

Nice hotel. About 15 minutes drive from Vik. Nothing else around the hotel so quiet. The room was large with a good view. It was very expensive however, and not as ‘value for money’ as some of the other places we stayed on our trip.
