Not worth the price. Dont expect a bar of soap. You will get a commercial hand soap dispenser instead. Body wash in the shower was empty. Not refilled when housekeeping came in. Crumbs on the nightstand upon check in. No AC

Got into my room & thermostat didn’t work, stuck at 67. Reported it to the front desk & they brought me up a portable heater, that also didn’t work. Called down again and asked to be changed rooms & they brought me another heater, she said they were having trouble with the boiler! You’d think they would’ve warned me on my way in

Always enjoyed my stays at the Highliner until this past weekend. Maintenance was replacing window all day on a Sunday & other concrete work that was loud & when I told front desk that you $400 for weekend away for peace & quiet and someone is drilling concrete all day on Sunday, it's very upsetting. All front desk said was, oh he'll be done soon. 5hrs later the hammering & drilling stopped. So much for a relaxing Sunday.

Our door banged every time the elevator door opened or another room door opened. If I had to guess our room door had been kicked open at some point and did not close tightly.

The views were wonderful from the top floor on the ocean side. The bed was comfortable. However, there was no central air or fan in the room, or in the bathroom, so it was difficult to control the temperature and felt stuffy. The balcony was nice but would have benefitted from a screen door.

This appears to be an older hotel undergoing renovation. The exterior is very rundown (ripped awnings, top floors have boarded up windows) and we couldn't find any designated hotel parking. Our room was on the third floor, which looked to have been renovated, and our room was clean and comfortable, but there were no toiletries provided in the bathroom and no fan. We had a decent 2 night stay, quiet at night, but I'm not sure the room rate matched our experience. That said, overall an OK stay.
