I would never recommend The Gates hotel to anyone that wants to have an enjoyable experience. I’ve traveled all over the country and world, however, I’ve never had an experience where the hotel flat out doesn’t care for their customers like The Gates at Miami Beach. I placed my reservation for a two queen bed room for my family, reached out 24hrs in advance to confirm my reservation, and even told them when I would be arriving. Nonetheless, without contacting me, the hotel gave up my room. So I arrived with a family of four at 2AM, just to be told there are no rooms and we moved you to a hotel miles away in a room with a single king bed - good luck. Nothing from a manager, not even an apology. Yes, we were arriving late but that’s why I contacted the hotel. I’m reluctant to ever use Hotels.com again and I certainly won’t stay at The Gates - neither should you.
